A strange text started to go around the world, at any time a text message could appear on your phone asking a simple question.
“If you could become any magical creature example, dragon, fairy, merperson, unicorn and others what would you become? Be as general or as specific as you wish, please include gender, age and fur/scale/feather coloring if you wish. If you have small children or wish your partner to join you please send this message to them as well. Answering this question, a code for a $50 E-gift card to a website of your choice will be sent. Please add the website you wish to the text at the end.”
When it first appeared on people’s phones everyone rightfully assumed it was some sort of weird scam.
Then the word began to go around of the few who answered and got the promised gift card. It quickly started to trend, then celebrates and others began to post their answers to the questions.
Then the news media got wind of it as it reached the 24-hour news cycle. Over the course of about a week everyone began to answer the text when it came in. Still no one was sure where the gift cards where coming from, some said it was sort of a marketing program, others that the money came from hackers, no one was sure. Before they could find out who was sending the messages and why the final text came in.
“Thank you for responding to our answers…you will now become the creatures you selected. Any general details of your creature will be filled in randomly. Example fur or scale color or gender if not spelled out in your text. Thank you and enjoy your new bodies.”
Everyone who saw it thought it was another joke, until a wave of energy shot out from every phone in the world and people began to change.
