When Abigail looked around as the magic dissipated itself, she realized there must have been a mistake. She was not in her room. She was not in any room. Alarmingly enough, she was in a cage. A big cage, like an oversized birdcage! And all around were strange creatures, some peering or looking more intently at her. What were those monsters? They looked straight out of a scary fairy tale! A horror story, even! And she was in a birdcage, hanging up from a pole, in full display, alongside... Alongside other cages, each containing a little kid. How horrible! Why was she with them, though? She was a... Then Abigail looked at herself and realized how much baby fat she had. She was a toddler! And below, a horrid ogre-like creature was acting as if they were all just things to sell. Which they were, obviously, insisting upon what cute kids they'd all be once adopted and changed into fay creatures. He gushed and insisted on the perfect qualities or attributes of each child, capturing the attention of any potential buyer.
"Saanp, why did you do that?" cried Abigail.
"You said you wanted to be the favourite of your family. You simply did not say WHICH family. So I found you a new one. You'll get adopted fast. Your new body is that of the most adorable little girl. Any fay will snatch you up fast. Soon, you'll be the favorite of your new family all right," said the idol's voice within her head.
Abigail pleaded for Saanp to help but to no avail. The deity appeared gone for good. In the meantime, fay creatures seemed to really look with interest at her. Saanp was not lying. She was about to meet her new parents...
