The battle raged on, the sound of clashing steel and the scent of sweat filling the air. Nate, the mighty minotaur, stood firm, his broad shoulders and powerful muscles flexing as he swung his massive axe with precision and grace. His opponents, Cebriones, Tiberius, and Ambrus, coordinated their assault, their movements fluid and calculated.
Cebriones charged ahead, mighty blade and glinting shield at the ready. Swordsmanship as sure as his plate mail, he slashed and struck to draw Nate's focus.
Followed closely stand Tiberius, hands aglow in light. From memorized hymns arose searing bolts and blinding flashes, supporting Cebriones while hindering the enraged minotaur.
Meanwhile, Ambrus watched from the gloom, bow drawn taut as his eyes fixed hungrily on Nate. Lying in wait, he searched for the opening to deliver a crippling shot from his specially-tipped arrows.
The three enemies worked in harmony, exploiting Nate's weaknesses, and targeting his joints and vulnerable areas. Their plan was well-executed, keeping Nate off balance and confused. They pressed their advantage, their strikes and retreats timed to perfection.
Colby watched the battle unfold, his heart heavy with worry. He knew he had to act, but his magic was not suited for the intensity of the battle. He was more like a scholar, than a wizard, his time mostly used to find ways to save Nate.
Still, Colby had to try. He rushed to Nate's side. Meanwhile chanting and waving his hand, cast the spell that would help his friend. A shimmering field of protective magic erupted around him and covered Nate, deflecting part of the force of the swords and arrows. The magic shield eased Nate's burden, giving him a chance to counterattack. Colby's timing and his spell proved impeccable, saving Nate's hide and the tide slowly turning in Nate's favor.
But this also captures the attention of the team, especially Ambrus. Ambrus's eyes narrowed as he noticed Colby's actions. His gaze narrowed as hatred contorted his features. "Traitor!" he spat, his voice dripping with venom. He raised his crossbow, a wicked grin spreading across his face as he took aim. Colby knew he stood no chance.
The bolt sang swift and sure. Though missing Colby's vitals by the magic field, its impact still struck him hard in the shoulder. A sickening thud echoed as the shaft sank deep. He let out a blood-curdling scream as he felt the pain wash over him.
Nate's head snapped towards Colby as he heard his friend's scream. He knew he had to act fast. With a fierce roar, he knocked down all the arrows aimed at Colby, deflecting them with his axe. But in doing so, he left himself open, and Cebriones was quick to take advantage.
The warrior's sword flashed as he swung it with all his might, aiming straight for Nate's life. Nate tried to dodge the attack, but he was too slow. The sword sliced through his minotaur hide, cutting deep into his chest. He felt a wave of agony wash over him, his vision blurring as he stumbled backward.
Still, Nate managed to get Colby to retreat with him. Colby saw Nate's blood gushing, and the Cebriones' steadily approaching. Anger and fear burst in his heart. He knew his only chance was to make a wish now, or they would both be killed! He had no time to think about the consequences and reached out to rub the golden lamp, his hand shaking with desperation.
