Vanessa excitedly told her father about her ideas of what to do at the resort. John nodded along with his daughter, but Vanessa could tell that his heart wasn't in it. It was typical of her father, like it seemed he couldn't relax or enjoy himself. She knew he deeply cared about her, but she wished he could be more 'selfish' for a change.
Before her mom passed away, John was different appearantly. She wondered if that was the key, for her father to be happy he needed a new wife or girlfriend.
With her VIP powers, she could make any women here become her father's new wife.
She eyed a potential candidate, a redheaded woman seeming roughly her father's age.
"Do you think she's pretty?" she asked him.
"Who?" he replied.
"That woman over there." she pointed towards her.
"I guess." Her father shrugged.
Vanessa wasn't sure what to do. She wasn't sure if she wanted to just take some woman and pair her with her dad. It seemed wrong. She didn't want some stranger to just become a part of their family.
What about herself? She could herself become an adult and her father's wife. Obviously it would be wrong, but just as a test if her VIP powers, maybe before she picks a 'proper' candidate, why not? If she adjusted reality and everyone's memories, she'd the only one who would know, so she could just go back like nothing happened if it's too weird.
Vanessa focused her mind and returned to the VIP space. She selected herself, then she went into the relationships tab. Her relationship with John was displayed as 'child'.
She changed it to 'married'.
A popup appeared. "Do you wish to change yourself to make the relationship compatible concerning age and family?"
She pressed yes.
A second popup appeared. "Do you want a minor adjustment to your genetics for only minor visual differences or a whole new look?"
Here it wasn't just between 'yes' and 'no', but there was a long list of options, and one of them caught her eyes, "Change to become John's ideal partner."
That one. She wanted that one.
Now there was a third popup. "Adjust mental settings." There was a slider from 0% to 100%. She picked 30%, so she'd still mostly be herself, but it was probably enough to not make it feel a little natural for her.
Now she was done. It offered her a preview of her new self, but she didn't want it. She wanted it to be a surprise for when she returned back to the real world, which she was about to do right now.
