East Germany was a fine place to live and having the Stasi headquarters across the street certainly helped. Occasionally, the Stasi would employ Dr. Meinfuch to help one of their "honored guests" to see the joys and benefits of being a part of the SED and supporting the government. Of course, if the "honored guest" in question couldn't agree to joining the SED, there were certainly a variety of other parties and vocations that said "honored guest" could be a part of. And so, with the help of his hypnotic chair, Dr. Meinfuch enjoyed helping many of the SED's "honored guests" find new lives in kindergartens, stables, on farms, at all-girls' schools, on the streets, in rest homes, in homes for kids with special needs and even in new roles with their original families. Many of these "honored guests" would suddenly find new enjoyable employment as maids, nannies, escorts, prostitutes, school students, egg layers, pulling carts, and sign holders among other demeaning low paying work. But alas, the good old days were over. East Germany got swallowed by West Germany and Germany got swallowed by the European Union and so it was time for Dr. Meinfuch to find greener pastures. He would have loved to resettle in The Soviet Union, but that also fell into several different pieces of which some would also later join the EU. And so, he settled for setting up a new family therapy clinic conveniently located somewhere in the Deep South of The United States where the state's laws on mental health facilities were extremely lax and there were few, if any, visits from the state to make sure the clinic ran ethically and within what little standards the state had. Without the East German government calling to reclaim their secret tools, Dr, Meinfuch loaded up his hypnotic chair, flew across the Atlantic to the New World, found an abandoned warehouse, got his practicing license, and started his new business helping families learn how to have "healthy and happy productive lives".
