“Theodora is something wrong?” came a new voice as the mermaid Theodora looked over her shoulder to see a women’s head poking out of the water.
“Nothing Chiaki.” answered Theodora “Why don’t you join me, welcoming some new mermaids.”
“Sure, be right over.” said the women’s voice as she disappeared below the water, as she did a tail raised out for a brief second before slapping the water.
Within seconds the women’s head appeared by the rock Theodora was sitting on. She began to be pulled herself up as well.
She was shorter than Theodora by at least a head but her tail seemed at least a half a foot longer. Her long pitch-black hair was pulled into two tight buns. Her skin was smooth and clear of any signs of blemishes. Judging by her face and skin tone she seamed Japanese or maybe Korean, with large dark eyes, a very cute nose and a slightly round face. Her frame was small and her breasts were on the small size but went great with her frame. Running over those breasts and other parts of her body were beautiful rows of magenta scales. Some of the scales even where around her eyes like some kind of eye shadow.
“Ladies allow me to introduce you to my wife, Chiaki.” introduced Theodora “She used to be a submariner.”
“In World War II yes.” Confirmed Chiaki, she didn’t even look past 30 but she had to be at around 100 years old at least. “I served on a Japanese submarine."
“Wait…we are Americans is she?” inquired Jenn as Chiaki laughed.
“No, I have left that hate behind.” stated Chiaki as she smiled. “I still do make fun of one of my former ship mates, he had some pin up poster of a mermaid on by his bunk. When the portal opened it flooded the whole boat and brought the entire crew here.”
“That is still a record of the number of people transformed.” stated Theodora “All men too, which made it extra hard.”
“Wait…” said Kelly as she fought the need to starch to remove her flesh and begin the change. “If the whole boat was men, then are you a merman? I know Theodora said merman look like Mermaids but have dicks?”
“I guess you could call me a merman.” stated Chiaki “I did change my name to a female one but not every male does. From the waist up, everyone would assume I am a mermaid, I have all the features of a women. I have even breast feed one of our kids but from the waist down there are some differences between a mermaid and a “merman” as you may think of it.”
“How so? I was considering getting a dick when we meet the Queen.” Stated Carmen
“Well the easy way to spot a mermaid from a “merman” is to look at our tails.” Answered Chiaki as she or he, they didn’t ask raised their tail out of the water. Instead of the flat single tail of Theodora, Jenn and now Olivia, Chiaki’s tail fin was shaped like a Y.
“So Y tail end, means dick?” inquired Carmen
“You can see it that way.” Answered Chiaki “The other major difference is kind of hard to see, but if you look at Theodora or your friends, you will see a slit, like you would on any women. If you look at mine, you will see a round hole, that is actually the head of the penis which extends during sex.”
“And sex as a mermaid is great be it, with a “merman” as you would call it, pleasuring yourself or with your other mates.” stated Theodora
“Other mates?” inquired Olivia confused.
“Yes, male mermaids are not that common, most males who become mermaids turn fully female.” stated Theodora “Those who do remain male or mermaids who are gifted the right to fertilize eggs only make up 1 in 6 of our numbers.”
“It is common for merfolk families to be made up of 4 to 5 true mermaids and one “merman” as you call it.” stated Chiaki “I am Theodora’s wife or husband you may call it but we have five other wives whom we all love.”
“Polygamy, they practice polygamy.” stated Jenn, somewhat shocked but also the idea of a polygamy marriage wasn’t as huge of a deal to her. She and Olivia both wanted kids and she hadn’t seen any signs of technology yet alone artificial insemination and if only 1 in 6 mermaids where male polygamy was their way of maintaining a population.
“If you want to, we allow all sort of marriage.” Stated Theodora “There are even some gay merman and merman relationships as you may call it but do to numbers and all merfolk being attractive to the female body type those types of relationships are rarer.”
“Guys…” said Carmen with some concern in her voice as all eyes shifted to her. In her hands was a small strip of flesh. “Looks like it’s my turn.”
