It began when I made her clothes disappear

Tonya & Avery: 5 Months Later…

added by Rose A year ago O

- 5 MONTHS LATER -

Tonya quickly rushed to work. She speed walked through the busy streets, unfortunate having to push the slow pedestrians out of the way so she wouldn’t be late! In the last nine or so months, she’d been working at an Art Gallery at the heart of the city.
She loved it there! The people were always nice, thoughtful, and respectful of both her and the artworks she got to be around all day.
Tonya fancied herself an artist, always having loved art even since she was younger, she dreamed to open her own gallery… that was if she ever had time to paint. She was always so busy, unlike her partner Avery, who was lucky enough to have been pretty much ‘fired’, having all the free time in the world… but maybe she didn’t envy that.

Tonya arrived on time, pushing past a few of the pedestrians by the entrance to enter through the back door with her keycard. She arrives inside, placing her lanyard over her neck and walking out into the floor.,
“Tonya!” Amelie, one of her colleagues (and friend), yells to her, rushing over, “Miss Dean would’ve killed you.”
“I know, I literally RUSHED to get here.” Tonya says, still completely out of breath,
“Oh shit, there she is…” Amelie says, moving back to her position. Tonya follows along quickly, standing right next to her and her other colleagues, Lucas, Elena, and Markus.
Tonya is wearing a grey-and-black light sweater top, tucked into her black skinny jeans, which sat on her reasonably wide hips and plump rear. Her bust, which was of course a lot smaller than it has been, but by no means small, was comfortably sat underneath her top. Her makeup was simple; eyeshadow, eyeliner, a bit of blush, and dark red lipstick. She was respectfully yet casually dressed, as were the rest of her colleagues.
The door opened, and in walked a gorgeous woman wearing black heels and an incredible (yet professional) dress. She wore red lipsticks and had long eyelashes, her face was covered in makeup yet she possessed a natural beauty. She was truly someone you’d expect to be running this kind of gallery.
“How are you all feeling?” She asked,
“Good, Miss Dean.” They all replied,
“I’m pleased. Now understand, we have an important visitor today. Beaumont Blanc. And he is looking to fund our next exhibition. So please, for the love of all things holy, be on your best behaviour.”
“Of course.” They replied once again.
“Great.” Miss Dean finished. She turned around in her heels, and nodded to the doorman, Michael. He unlocked the door, and revealed the small group of artistic enthusiasts into the gallery.

Avery sat in their chair, swivelling with nothing but boredom.
After changing their name, their job had chosen to remove them. It was a harsh reality, but at the end of the day, they were a lot more comfortable. They wore a tan knitted sweater and ripped jeans, along with their eyeliner and dyed blonde hair, they felt pretty great about their new look. Yet they really had nothing to do except wait for yet another freelance email to come through on their laptop… it was a tiring and long process.
Yesterday was building a house of cards, the day before was watching four entire seasons of a sitcom, and today… today Avery had no idea what to do.
They got up, walked around the apartment for the fourth time. Making their way past the kitchen, then to the bedroom, then to the living room, and back to the office. Rince and repeat.

For yet another hour, Avery received a few emails. Some spam, some nonsense, and finally a reply.
“Declined… amazing.” Avery said to themself. They sighed, lifting themself out of their chair and walking back around the apartment.
On their fifth lap, Avery was distracted by how beautiful the city looked under the morning sun. They were really feeling like going on a walk today.
KICK!
Avery accidentally kicked over a small backpack, it’s contents flying all over the place and onto the floor around them. They sighed again, knowing just clumsy they can be. They leaned down and picked up the various things, like a pair of forgotten headphones, a pen and a pencil, a few misplaced makeup brushes and hair bands… and a notebook.
“Oh shit!” Avery said with a smirk appearing on their face. They picked up the notebook, wiping the dust off the front. It was the notebook that Yu and Skylar had given to them and Tonya. They flipped through it, finding that the book was completely empty.
They must’ve simply forgotten about it completely…

Returning to their desk with the notebook and a pen, Avery opened the book and stared at the lined pages. They really wanted to write something, something wild and wacky, like… becoming a slobby pig. No… maybe being an elephant? No… just being fat?
They sighed, knowing they really weren’t in the mood to entertain their enjoyment of weight gain magic.
They looked out the window once again, seeing the bustling city, and the walk they craved. They decided to use the book on a somewhat positive note!

Avery took the pen, placing the tip into the book, and began writing…
