“What is this one called?” inquired one of the people walking around the gallery.
“It’s called Growing the Herd.” answered his wife as she looked at the label under the frame. “No name on the artist, so must be an unknown or a one off.”
“It isn’t that bad; I just don’t understand why call it Growing the Herd when there is only one centaur in the field?” inquired her husband.
“Not, sure.” Confirmed the wife as the two of them moved on to look at the next piece of art.
“I kind of like it.” Said a young women “Would look good over the dinning room table don’t you think?"
“Whatever you want.” Said the other women with her as she spent most of the time looking at her phone.
“This would great in the office, we are horse dealers.” Added a man in a business suit looking at the painting.
“I know we want to class up the office but that is a Centaur not a horse.” Countered his partner as they moved on as well.
Finally after a couple of hours and more then a few drinks everyone was gathered together and the auction taking place in the art gallery could begin.
After a couple pieces of art went the one with the Centaur came up.
“Do I hear…” started the auctioneer as he began to speak rapidly. After a couple of minutes the piece was sold and he moved on to the next piece of art.
No one, most of all the people who just bought the art knew that in only a few hours the herd of Centaurs would grow, it would grow because they would become a centaur.
