"Lowborns are demons born without magic beyond very basic shapeshifting," Naamah explained. "In a society without monogamy, they are the equivalent of bastards. Behold." Naamah held up Riley's hand, revealing the image of an eye etched into the girl's green palm. "This is the mark of the lowborns. The human blood in them is too dominant, rendering them unfit to inherit their mothers' noble titles."
"Then what's gonna happen to me?" Riley asked nervously.
"Lowborns are slaves," Naamah sighed sadly. "Once word gets out that you're up for grabs, one of the nobles will claim you. You will have no right to refuse them."
"That's evil!" Rebecca snapped. "That vile hellspawn could use her as a living sex toy for all we know! God save Riley from this life of servitude!"
"He won't bother, I'm afraid," Naamah sighed. "I'm afraid that we demons are on our own. You know, you could always claim her as yours if you care so much."
"Excuse me?" Emily asked.
"One of you girls could claim Riley as your slave," Naamah responded, fondling one of her horns. "If one of you claims her, some stranger can't. It would protect her from becoming the property of someone who might treat her cruelly."
"It just feels weird to own my friend," Delilah said, shaking her head.
"If you don't claim her, some other succubus will," Naamah warned. "Lowborns get snapped up quickly."
"But slavery's wrong!" Rebecca protested.
"But isn't letting her end up in the hands of some perverted noblewoman worse?" Alyssa asked. "Maybe Naamah's right."
"You really think so?" Emily asked her girlfriend.
Alyssa shrugged. "I mean... I guess?"
"This is a tricky one," Delilah mused, kicking some blood-red dirt around as she pondered.
Rebecca glanced up toward Heaven. "God give me wisdom."
"I think you guys should listen to her," Riley said nervously. "I don't want it to be somebody I don't know." Riley then got distracted by her own nipples, the post-transformation arousal still clouding her brain somewhat.
"Well, what's it going to be?" Naamah asked. "Do any of you lay claim to Riley?"
