A neat, clean room with an empty bed and a guy doing homework at the desk. He has shaggy, auburn hair, thick-rimmed, green glasses, and a thick, green sweater. He turns from his desk and smiles at you, waving politely as he gets up and introduces himself.
“Hi there! Welcome to the zoo. Name’s Bob, but you can call me Bobbi. Are you my new roommate?”
The sparkle and shine in his eyes is almost suffocating. How is this person so positive? Why are they looking at you in such a friendly manner? Did you do something wrong? Is there something on your face? No, now’s not the time to go negative Morgan, this is your fresh start to a new life. And your roommate is going to be your first friend.
“H-h-hi umm… I’m Norgam, I mean Morgan! I’m Morgan.” And just like that, you blew it.
Bobbi giggled and got up from the desk, walking towards you. “You’re funny! Need a hand with your things?”
And now he’s offering to help you instead of making fun of you. You can’t believe it! After so much ridicule from literally every person besides your parents, you meet someone genuine. You drop your bags, tears well in your eyes as you can’t help but feel genuine relief. “Thank you. Thank you so much.”

After an hour of moving, unpacking, and rearranging things, you finally get to take a breather. Both you and Bobbi have worked up a sweat getting everything settled, but now the room looks better. Your things are set on one side of the room, with a desk and drawer of your thing sitting in the corner away from the entry door, close to the bathroom. Bobbi moved all of his belongings to the other side of the room, putting his desk and drawer close to the door, away from the bathroom. The beds act as the divide line as you decided to go top bunk since you were there last.
“Well, roomie, I don’t know how you wanna roll into new life, but I’m gonna hop in the shower. Feel free to wash up after I’m done.” He grabs a change of clothes and closes the door as you hear the water run immediately.
