Unaware to Jeff, a Squirrel, which has been sitting on a branch right outside his window, has witnessed the whole thing.
The tiny animal was nibbling on a nut, paying no attention to the human in the house, but then its eyes suddenly caught a glimpse of Jeff’s transformation, that moment came when Jeff’s skin turned brown and when the Squirrel looked it saw the human’s body looking like an Acorn. Curious the Squirrel watched as the boy’s head shrunk back into the boy’s body and the human’s hair becoming the “cap” of an Acorn, the animal almost falls off the branch when suddenly the human is gone and a huge Acorn is sitting on the chair, but then it watches as the “nut” shrinks down to its normal size.
Now the Squirrel is more than curious, it jumps off of the branch and onto the windowsill, pressing its tiny nose against the glass, the animal then scratches at the glass and frantically looks around, but the window is shut. The Squirrel, however, does not want to give up and only has one thought: to get to that Acorn!
The Squirrel then jumps back onto the branch and climbs down the tree, it then scurries around the house, trying to find a way inside, when the animal reaches the back yard it notices that the back door is slightly open and it slips inside. The animal seems to be smarter than normal as it makes its way towards the stairs and jumps the steps until it reaches the top floor. The Squirrel takes a minute to get its bearings, looking around until it notices an open door and slips inside and immediately recognizes the room to be the one, it soon spots the chair where the “Acorn” should be located and scurries over and jumps up onto the chair, causing the “Acorn” to roll a little.
Jeff suddenly feels something land beside him and he mentally widens his eyes in horror when he sees a Squirrel with shiny red fur and a white belly staring curiously down at him.
‘SHIT,’ Jeff thinks to himself, ‘I’m going to be eaten! Nononono! Go away, Squirrel! Shoo!’
Of course the Squirrel does not go away, instead it leans down and sniffs at the Acorn and before Jeff knows it, the animal picks the nut up and stuffs it into its mouth and Jeff’s vision turns black.
‘NO! I DON’T WANT TO DIE,’ he shouts in his mind, ‘PLEASE! SPIT ME OUT!’
The Squirrel jumps from the chair and hurries out of the house, Jeff feels the animal hurrying somewhere, but it does not seem to eat him, this causes Jeff to relax a little, ‘where… where is it taking me,’ he asks himself, ‘wh-what is it planning?’
Back in Jeff’s room the program, which is still running, sounds an alarm and a message pops up, “WARNING: Subject on the move! Following Subject! Subjects current location: mouth of a Squirrel! Preparing emergency restoration: option one, if subject is swallowed/eaten, subject will merge with the Squirrel and become the animal! Option two, if subject is buried, subject will take root and grow into an Oak! Option three, if subject is dropped and is lying in the open, subject will revert back to normal but naked! All three options stored and activated!”
