Your heart skips a beat as you see Ms. Tomlin point at you. “You seem like a good candidate, miss!” She says. “Come on down!”
You walk up to the front of the classroom, where Ms. Tomlin hands you a vial of potion. “Bottoms up!”
You look at the vial of grey liquid. The container was cold to the touch. But you swallowed your fear, along with its contents. Which tasted like lemon cherry.
Suddenly, you gasp as you feel changes ripple through your body instantaneously.
Your skin itches as thousands of small hairs sprout from it, growing in silvery white and black spotted leopard pattern.
You grunt as your bones pop and reform, your back hunching over. Your hips realign and your legs shorten, causing you drop to all fours. The clothes on your body start to become loose from your shrinking size. You look down see your hands reforming into paws. The same happens to your feet, and the fluffy pads step out of your now too large shoes.
A long, leopard tail slowly snakes from your backside.
Finally, your ears turn to points and your face pushes out into a feline muzzle, complete with whiskers and fangs.
You turn around to face the awed class and attempt to roar. But instead, it came out as a strange mewling yowl.
“Snow leopards are actually the only big cat that can’t roar. Since they don’t have a special layer of tissue to allow them to roar like their closest relative the tiger.” Ms. Tomlin finished. “I probably should have told you all that, sooner.” She laughed sheepishly at your little mishap.
Either way, you do make a rather beautiful snow leopard.
