Emma had walked a good 2 blocks away from the sorority, the heels of her feet screaming in pain from walking that far in heels. Of course, Emma didn't care. She didn't care because she'd rather herself feel some pain then give those girls the satisfaction of seeing her upset. Finally, she reached a bench for a bus stop, sat down, her feet finally feeling a relief of pressure, which was enough to let her eyes water.
With her manicured hand, she fanned her eyes, trying not to let the makeup run. Tonight was supposed to be a fun night out with her friends, and instead it was ruined by that bitch Riley. Emma had no idea why that girl seemed to have it out for her, and frankly, she didn't care all too much. Right now, she was looking to get back to her place.
It was then that she finally noticed where she was. She was closer to town than her sororities' place! Eyes still welling up with tears, she let out a sigh riddled with anger. "Just perfect." She muttered to herself. "Wonderful, Em, you walked in the total wrong direction."
That's when the tears managed to get halted, as Emma got her composure back from the frustration. She needed to get back, but there was no way she was about to walk again in these shoes. Especially not with the location requiring to walk back past their sorority again. Talk about humiliating!
"Plus, it's not like I wanna walk back anyway... even barefoot." She muttered to herself.
She looked down and sighed. Emma wasn't fat, but she was still a bigger woman. Normally, she liked her thick looks, but sometimes it made her self-conscious about weight. She went to the gym all around, so a lot of it was hidden muscle, but she always talked bad about herself anyway. She ignored the fact that she just did that walk, buzzed AND in heels, and told herself that she'd never do that normally because she was 'lazy' or something.
"Gotta go the lazy way as always." she sniffled.
Thinking quick, she pulled out her wallet, and began to search for her phone, thinking that a sorority sister of hers could pick her up. Worst case, she WAS at a campus bus stop after all, so there was that. Searching was taking longer since everything was spilled out. She silently curse Riley, and was gonna do it out loud before her eyes spotted something that didn't belong.
It was a camera, like, an old school one. An eyebrow raised on its own as she lifted it from the purse. For a moment, she wondered how the hell it had even gotten in there, but the answer became obvious.
"Ugh, at that bitches' place." She sighed aloud. "Great, they gonna think I stole it."
At first, Emma thought she was gonna have to trek back and humiliate herself by showing up again, but then she had an epiphany.
"Wait, why the fuck should I?" She thought. "How about they come to ME. If they want it back, they can come back with an apology. It's not my fault I grabbed it after SHE did what she did to my purse."
Satisfied with her revelation, she was going to just put it away and forget about it, but her curiosity got the better of her. It was a Polaroid camera, and Emma had never used one before. Looking it over only made her more curious. What were all these strange options on the camera about? Blend-in, Fusion? What kind of camera was this?
"Alright, well now I have to try it out." She muttered, before beginning to look around for subjects.
Across the street was one of the last houses before town buildings started popping up. It was a frat house, and inside she could see they were having some kind of party. Outside, there were just two "bros" who were talking loudly with red solo cups in their hands. One was cute, with long, dirty blonde hair, broad shoulders, and a good ass. The other one was HOT, with a brunette buzz cut, large muscles, and a bulge Emma couldn't help but notice.
Next to the bus stop on her right, there was a Starbucks. Emma went to this one frequently. It was run by a nice Latino family, who owned the building. The two daughters were a little younger than her, and ran the register and orders. Their older son was the main coffee maker, while the dad just did behind the scenes stuff. From what she could see through the window, everyone was in tonight, although they only had one skinny white girl as a customer.
Finally, there was an older Asian lady who ran a nearby book store. The store was closed, but she was standing outside, currently glaring nearby at the loud frat house her store was unfortunately too close to. Standing next to her was a campus security guard, a tall black man who Emma always thought was good-looking. He was off campus, probably called over by this woman, and seemed like he was trying to talk her out of calling the police.
Any of them could be interesting subjects for her picture. Perfect for trying to figure out what all these odd options on the camera do! Emma did some fiddling with the camera, raised it, and aimed. She decided to take a picture of...
