“Jake” wakes up the next morning, the “boy” slowly opens his eyes, at first he seems confused and looks around, but then he grins, ‘so… it wasn’t all a dream,’ he thinks to himself, ‘he… who knew Demons could dream… hehe… but, luckily it really happened and I have been freed from my prison by that foolish human Jeff! Hehe… being a human kid, even if it’s just for disguise, sure is nice! I feel so you and full of energy! Hehe… I even think that this young body has increased my powers immense! Oh… I am gonna have SO much fun!’
Suddenly he hears a knock on the door, “Luke? You awake,” he hears Jeff’s voice.
“Yep,” he says, the door opens and Jeff enters.
“So,” Jeff asks after closing the door behind him, “how was your first night as a human boy?”
“It has been great,” the Demon in disguise says, sitting up in bed, “being a human and so young feels amazing! Thanks again for fr… I mean… bringing me to life!”
Jeff smiles, “my pleasure, Luke,” he says, “I was wondering iif you’d like to head out? I’d like to show you around the city, maybe head to the beach and/or Zoo?”
“Luke” tilts his head in thought, he then smiles, “I’d love that,” he says, “besides… I’d like to learn more about you humans!”
Jeff smiles, “then get dressed and let’s go,” he says, “I’ll wait for you downstairs!”
“Okay,” the “boy” replies, and after Jeff left, Luke jumps out of bed and gets dressed, putting on a white t-shirt, blue jeans, white socks and some black sneakers. “Luke” looks at himself in the mirror of his wardrobe and grins, “good thing my powers are so strong,” he says to himself, “I wouldn’t be able to have conjured MY room, furniture, clothes and other belongings and I wouldn’t have been able to alter the reality,” he then heads to meet Jeff and soon both are on their way into town.
After a long bus drive, they finally arrive in the town center at the shopping district, “Luke” can’t help but be amazed.
“Wow,” he says, “so many people!”
Jeff chuckles, “that’s normal around this time,” he says, “everyone goes shopping. Come, I want to show you my favorite comic store!”
“Luke” follows Jeff to a big store which has lots of books on display, “whoa… so many books,” the Demon says, “can I have a look around?”
Jeff looks down at his 10-year-old “brother”, “I didn’t know Demons would be interested in “boring” human stuff!”
“Luke” smirks, “hey… I am open to try new stuff,” he says, “who knows: I might enjoy it!”
Jeff chuckles, “okay, have a look around,” he says, “if you find something you like, I’ll pay for it!”
“Really? Cool,” the “boy” says, “you are the BEST “big brother” ever!”
Jeff laughs, “you know you really are convincing,” he says, “if I wouldn’t know any better, I would assume you’d be just an ordinary human!”
“Luke” grins, “we Demons are good actors,” he says with a wink.
Jeff chuckles, “I guess you are,” he says, “anyway, why don’t we meet back here in an hour?”
“Luke” nods, “sounds good to me, Jeff,” he says, so the two split up and start checking out all the comics.
After a while, “Luke” spots a comic that sparks his interest: on the front there is an image of a Fox and the title reads “Magic Fox”.
“Luke” flips the book open and starts to read, after the first pages he starts to smile, which turns into an evil grin, ‘hehe… this comic gives me some good ideas,’ he thinks to himself. The “boy” closes the comic, then continues to check out the other comics. Not finding any other comic that sparks his interest, “Luke” heads to find Jeff.
The “boy” finds Jeff waiting for him at the exit, “found anything,” Jeff asks.
“Luke” nods and holds out the comic, “I’d like to take this comic!”
Jeff nods, “all right, let me go and pay for it,” he says, soon both walk out of the store, “Luke” smiles down at the comic and Jeff smiles himself, happy that his “little brother” is so happy, unaware of what “ideas” are running through the “young boy’s” mind.
“So,” the “boy” says, looking up at Jeff, “where to next?”
