Rachel Turner was a witch. She had always been a witch ever since the day of her birth but she had never been able to have any fun with it. At least, not until now.
Until the age of eighteen, her powers had been unuseable without the close supervision of an adult and they would never let her do anything she wanted to with her magic. Instead she would spend hour after hour, day after day practicing the same mundane spells over and over. Levitating a rock, making her pet cat invisible, turning an apple into an orange. And reading. Lots and lots of reading. It also meant she could never use her magic to make herself popular in school, or to teach the bullies who thought she was weird or a childish liar for claiming to be a witch a magical lesson.
Well, all that was about to change. Yesterday had been her eighteenth birthday and she was going to enjoy it in style. She had paid attention in all of those tedious lessons and was very adept with the powers that she was now completely unrestrained from using. She felt like she good pull of just about any spell she could imagine. And she wan't going to be boring and use her magic responsibly. Nobody could ever tell her what to do again and, besides.
So, now ready to scratch a years long itch and intent on unleashing her full range of magical witch powers on a hapless and innocent victim Rachel set out looking for a suitable candidate. It didn't take long for her to find one. Holly Ryder, an attractive, smartly dressed woman in her mid twenties, around average height with long dark hair, pretty green eyes and and firm, perky breasts was sitting waiting for her bus, gazing at her phone. She looked like the kind of girl who had looked down at Rachel growing up and grown up to become the kind of tedious pen pusher the young witch couldn't stand.
Rachel sidled up to her and decided to begin by making conversation.
"Hello" Rachel smiled.
"Hello" Holly replied politely but abruptly, as if keen to end the conversation immediately.
"So, where are you going" Rachel continued.
"Um, just work" Holly responded "Nothing interesting" she looked at her phone again and sighed.
"You want to hear something cool" Rachel asked, Holly just shrugged "I'm a super powerful witch!" Rachel volunteered.
Holly did not respond to this, but looked at her phone again which irritated Rachel.
"You want me to prove it to you?" Rachel asked
"No thanks" Holly replied disinterestedly, but it was too late as Rachel quickly cast her first spell on the young woman.
