Walking side by side, Jeff realizes that “Rex” is two, if not three, heads taller than him, Jeff is 5’6’’ while “Rex” is 6’6’’ tall.
As they enter the woods, “Rex” takes a deep breath, “this air sure is cleaner than near your house,” he says, without looking at Jeff.
Jeff nods, “yeah,” he says, “but that’s normal,” he then looks at the Dinosaur, which a few moments ago had been a toy, “how… how are you feeling, Rex,” he asks.
“I am starting to get used to this body,” the Dinosaur says, “it actually feels great being alive, the breeze against my body feels nice, moving on my own feels amazing”.
“You… you remember being a toy,” Jeff asks.
“Of course,” Rex replies, “BUT I prefer being real!”
“And I am NOT going to transform you back into a toy,” Jeff says, smiling, “I… I prefer you like this!”
Rex turns his head to look at Jeff, “you know, Jeff,” he says, Jeff looks at the Dinosaur, “first I wasn’t happy, I thought you were foolish to bring me to life. Now… now I understand, I can tell how happy you are that IT actually worked”.
“So… so you are not mad anymore,” Jeff asks.
Rex shakes his head, “no,” he says, “I’m rather grateful to you for bringing me to life”.
Jeff smiles, “I’m glad you are enjoying it,” he says.
Rex gives Jeff a grin, ‘Jeff is such a good guy,’ he thinks to himself, ‘but he shouldn’t have made me so intelligent, I’m planning to use that program on him. Oh Jeff… I have big plans for you!’
“Hey,” Jeff says, “would you like to get off the beaten path?”
“You mean like, heading into the dense forest,” Rex asks, “aren’t you afraid of getting lost?”
Jeff shakes his head, “I have always found my way back,” he says.
“Okay, let’s go,” he then says, so the two step off the path and soon disappear into the trees.
