Clara felt something weird in the air. It was like a new sound or the body piercing low bass sound you feel near the speaker when a band plays at live venue. She was sure that she could feel something like that being around her, but there was no sound to be heard. She tried to clean her ears and thought it might have been tinnitus.
She inspected the clock once more and laid it on the bed counter before heading downstairs. The regression hadn't stopped as Clara started to feel nauseated by the constant humming sound. Then instinctually Clara snapped her fingers and the humming immediately stopped.
The 20-year-old Clara let out a huge sigh of relief as she walked to the kitchen. There she begun to make her favorite sandwich, the peanut butter and jelly one. As she was preparing everything on the kitchen table she accidentally let go of the glass jar and then something weird happened. As she was reaching for the jar it felt like she had more than enough time to catch it. She scooped the jar to her hand and set everything on the table.
Clara was confused what had just happened and tried to do the same again but with a spoon. She flung it in air and tried to catch. The moment it got near her the spoon begun to slow down rapidly until it finally stopped in middle of the air. She could feel everything else around her just vanishing in to white liquid as Clara could only tunnel vision his eyes on this one falling spoon. All she could see was spoon's silhouette and colors not looking quite right.
She waited for a good while before grabbing it and the white liquid brough back the color as it dissipated from her vision. Clara was sure that something had just happened to her but she couldn't put a finger on what exactly it was. Somehow objects begun to freeze when she wanted to catch them mid-air.
So she made another test. She smacked the spoon near the edge of the table, sending it flying in the air and just as it was to about hit the ground she concentrated and intensily stare at it thinking it should come back. And slowly, it begun to move backwards like magic.
Before Clara could bring it back on the top of the table she felt an nasty headache and burning in the eyes as she heard and saw the spoon hitting the ground second time. Clara begun to pant and sat down on the floor as she felt the splitting headache pressuring her head. She started to begun to connect dots as she was sure that somehow she had become a superhuman.
'Whatever these weird experiences are and whatever this weird power is.' Clara thought by herself with smile. 'I need to test this more to see what it is able to do and how many times I'm able to use it before I get this exhausted.'
Clara then finished her sandwich and walked in the living room.
