After a while, Jeff opened his profile and changed the 'Relationship Status: Married to Jennifer Ashmore’ and validated, not even noticing it automatically added ‘Stepfather to Rebecca 'Becky' Ashmore’. And it automatically adds Jennifer Ashmore to become the Daughter-in-law of Irene Hansen.
When Jeff pressed execute, somehow it now existed as a foolproof test to determine if two people loved each other. A test that was obligatory if you wanted to marry someone and needed to be renewed every 3 years or you were forcefully divorced, with all that implied. In fact, if you succeeded at said test, you were automatically married. And somehow there wasn't any age limit to the test, not even when it came to the age difference between your partner and yourself, you just needed to be able to read the questions and write the answers.
Jeff and Jennifer were assaulted by the new memories of this strange new world with the Chronivac. It was strange for the teenage boy to be married to a former model (now a beautiful housewife), and even stranger was the fact she was a long-time friend of Jeff's mother, Irene, but Jenny and himself loved each other so much that he genuinely cared for her and always stay with her when she's alone.
And while Irene was a bit shocked and upset at the same time when she found out that her friend, Jennifer, was sleeping with her son for the whole time as Jeff and Jennifer kept a secret from Irene, she still supported her close friend who treated her like a sister as she remembered how devastated Jennifer was by the divorce and treated poorly by her ex-husband, and how she didn't start to recover from it until she started to date Jeff. Surely enough, because of the age difference, people regarded her son, Jeff, and daughter-in-law who were the same age as her strangely when they went on a date, but more importantly her friend's daughter, Becky, a classmate of Jeff was also a same age as him too, he's too young to be her stepdad. At least, Becky still supported her mother. It was immediately noticed when Jennifer and Jeff had successfully passed the test, so everyone accepted it was normal, as much as they wished it wasn't.
The only downside was that, since he wasn't 18 yet, Jeff was still expected to live with his parents. Thankfully, Irene and his dad were cool about his material life and frequently let him stay at the Ashmore house, and he still visits his parent's home often. After that, he and his wife invited his parents' house tonight, Irene and his wife get along as they used to. Plus, she was still shocked when she saw Jeff and Jennifer have sex.
After Jeff was done with the reality shift, he and Jennifer regained back as they gained their new memories of their past life. Then, Jeff and Jennifer notice the rings appear on their right hand. They realize they're already a married couple, and then they embrace each other.
