Ellany would be lying if she said she wasn't offended that her Horse Witch abilities weren't being even considered as an option to cover for Theia. She wasn't trained, but she had good instincts and high magic levels. To shake off her upset, she decided to visit the new, mysterious mares. Perhaps she could learn more about them.
When she entered the stable, her jaw dropped. The palomino was there, yes, looking exhausted, but the black Arabian was not. Ellany walked up to the other strange horse, a pure white Witch's Pony mare.
"My husband said there was a black Arabian, but he needs his eyes checked if that is what he thought you were," Ellany said, stroking the white mare's muzzle.
"Anya disguised me into this new form," the mare neighed. Ellany frowned.
"Anya?"
"Me," the palomino said, her voice weary. "Sister-in-law, it is I. Anya Copperstone." Ellany stared at the palomino. "I was cursed into this form and cannot leave it with my magic levels so low. I had hoped my brothers would recognize me, but they are proving to be rather thick-headed."
"You certainly talk like Anya..." Ellany chewed her lip. "Go back to the beginning. Explain everything."
When Anya finished, Ellany was in shock. She shook her head.
"I believe you, Anya. I believe you about everything. And do not worry. We will take care of you, Sassy, and your foals." Ellany stroked Anya's side. "Rest now. I will talk to Dmitri and Yevgeney. We will go over everything you have told me and come up with a plan."
"Thank you, Ellany," Anya nickered. Ellany left. Sassy nuzzled Anya.
"Do as she said. Rest. I will keep watch."
"Thank you, my dear," Anya said sleepily. As she drifted off, her mind was full of ideas of what plans her brothers and Ellany would come up with.
