As Tristan left, Andy felt a flash of anger towards straight guys. He normally didn't think about things like that, but the way Tristan always treated him he couldn't help but be frustrated. Andy went back to the book to try to figure it out a bit more. As he turned the pages he saw all kinds of information about them. He scanned the pages completely confused about what had been blank pages were now filled with tons of information.
It wasn't until he saw a line in the book that he stopped. 'Straight men will often change themselves for women's approval.'
"Why can't he change for my approval..." Andy grumbled. However, he thought about the first line in the book. 'Feel free to make any changes you feel is right.' He stared at the line. Of course straight men always went for female approval. They would try to impress women for sex. That was just so annoying. But why couldn't they also seek his approval? Andy stared at the book.
'When a straight man is around a gay man fairly often, they take the gay man's opinion of them very seriously. The straight man will change themselves to fit into the recommendations of the gay man as much as possible. Neither type of man understands this power consciously.'
Andy wrote it in the margins of the book. He was surprised when he saw the ink change into typed text and add a small paragraph to the entry of the book. "Holy shit..." Andy stated as the magical effect took place. It didn't make sense. Butterflies started to fill his stomach as he thought about it more. If the book could do that then, maybe this book could actually do what he'd written.
