Something felt wrong as Jennifer woke up and unplugged her phone from the charger. Yawning, she momentarily was surprised at the unfamiliar room, and how she can't hear anyone. No one talking, no one showering, no one knocking on the doors and calling out her name; nothing. Then her memories came back to her, as she sighed in relief. She was far from them now. She was on her own. They have no power over her. She's safe. "I'm safe..." She's... Safe?
"...Okay, Ja- Jen," She can actually say her name without arousing the suspicions of her family. "Alright Jen... Just check the time, and get yourself started," She can speak her own voice, without anyone hearing her. "...And I think, I can make this place work." She has the real freedom, to make this place her own. To do whatever here- To create, to destroy, to mend, to replace and add... This was her home now, her own house.
"10AM!?" Wow, she really was tired last night it seems. "Well, good time as any to figure out the property owners and... Give them a call, I guess." Jen then set out to do just that. She had 4G, her family at least taught her some skills to ensure he can make a lot of money for them and leave the others in the dus- Stop thinking about that. She... Can do this.
After two hours, she mysteriously came upon nothing. No old paperwork, nothing on any banks that had foreclosed this place or have it listed as their property, there was seemingly no one that owned this. She looked around the house for anything, she went through the internet to find any info on their websites, and Jennifer came up with nothing.
This wasn't bad... But she couldn't help but feel a bit of dread as she lay in bed. What if she did miss something? What if she did lose her home due to such bureaucratic nonsense?
...Well, there's still a ton to work on in the meantime. If this place really is going to be her home. So, she began to look around for supplies, the house managing to keep the cleaning closet conveniently open for its new owner, as Jen went to tidy this place up a bit. Sweeping dirt from the floors, to wiping the windows a bit, dusting the furniture, and scrubbing what little grime there was off of the sinks and bathtubs.
As she did so, the house was looking through her phone's history to get more detail, now that the device was on. Swiftly discovering various elements of her life, from her interests, to stuff she probably fears; of particular note to it is her looking for HRT at a decently cheap rate, alongside her remarkable intrigue in all sorts of animals, namely birds and dinosaurs.
It can work with that. It might not be the most familiar with trying to affect an actual living being, but if Jen is going to be its new owner, then it wants to do its best for her. It has to fulfill her dreams... And if she wants a body reflecting her identity, even if it hasn't found anything in particular on what she envisions herself as, it'll do what it can to help.
These first few alterations would be subtle, namely, reducing her hair's growth; so when she shaves, the hair should hopefully not return for a good while; and slimming her down. It has noticed how curvy, toned and slim many of those bipedal animals can be, so it aims to at least give her a form reflecting that. Something healthy, but thin... A suitable framework for the more extreme changes to be made.
But one that would require effort on its owner's part, as it simply watched her continue on.
Hmm, she did want a job of some sort too. Maybe it could try to provide the tools for that. It did have after all, within its basement...
