Meredith rushed out of her room and across to her lover's room. Pushing the door open she was met with Brian standing in front of a large mirror, dressed in formal wear. Turning to look at her, she got a full view of him.
He was as tall as he always was, and just as charming. But all of that was shifted. Instead of his previous power and muscular bulk, he was much softer with his body now heavily weighed down under what she assumed was hundreds of pounds of fat. His face was rounded with a wide double chin, the only facial hair was a groomed mustache that gave him an air of elegance. His age was marked by his receding hairline and salt and pepper coloration. His eyes were just as intelligent as ever, with the fires of curiosity blazing bright, framed only by a pair of thin framed glasses. His clothing looked to be tailor made to fit his corpulent frame. He wore a navy blue sports coat over a white and blue pinstripe shirt accented by a bright red tie and white slacks.
He smiled at Meredith, his expression showed surprise as he saw her new look for the first time. He made his way up to her and placed a chubby hand up to her cheek. Staring lovingly into her eyes as he spoke, “Hello Miss Burgess, you look stunning.” His voice was huskier than before, but it danced its way into Meredith’s ears. She leaned into the touch and melted into her lover's embrace.
She stepped back and adjusted his tie, “You’re more handsome than I remember Mr. Parker.” Taking a moment to admire her surroundings beyond her boyfriend she saw an immaculate study. On one side was a closet to rival hers, shelves and hangers with countless dress shoes, jackets, and suits. On the other, bookshelves that reached to the ceiling with a rolling ladder reinforced with steel, each shelf practically bursting with books. In comparison, the center housed a small seating arrangement for meetings with a modest desk and an extra wide leather chair that was framed by large glass windows.
