Todd said, "It's your lucky day, Chad. I'm done for the day, so as soon as I- er we are both completely changed, I can take you home to your new kennel."
Chad yapped happily. Todd smiled. He was pretty sure Chad was becoming one of the highly sought after breeds that his family kennels bred. His features were becoming more defined as his body shrank into its new size.
As Todd dressed, he commented, "Physics Class teaches that mass is conserved, and that mass times the speed of light squared equals energy. So I'm guessing the mass you are losing is being converted to the energy that is reshaping your body and mind."
Chad whined as those words sunk into his human mind. If he changed back would he weigh under a hundred pounds?
Then Chad yapped happily at the pleasant sounds his master was making. Part of his brain half understood, but his new dominant canine brain didn't care or understand.
"Of course, that means, Chad, that you can never be human again. Well, I suppose you could become a human child maybe? Maybe a small ten year old or really big six year old?"
Chad yapped happily as the canine brain gained more control, and the human brain went into shock at the realization this transformation wasn't a temporary prank.
Todd adjusted himself, loaded his gym bag up. Then Todd looked down at his new dog. No one would recognize this medium sized dog as their school's football star, and all around stud. Todd snickered to himself, Chad was still a stud, just a different species of stud.
It needed a collar, and leash. Chad's locker was still ajar. Todd retriever Chad's belt and strapped it around Chad's canine neck as a lead. He looked at the stuff in Chad's locker, and at his own half empty gym bag. In less than a minute he shoveled the contents of his new dog's locker into his gym bag including Chad's gym bag and the can marked Flea Spray. He hefted the overstuffed gym bag over his shoulder, and headed for the exit.
As he passed the dumpster, Todd was tempted to toss Chad's heavy gear, but if somehow Chad became human again, Chad would want his stuff. And depending on how much spray was left in the can, Todd might need it to keep his new pet in canine mode.
Glancing at the clock, Todd hurried out to his car with his new dog in tow. The athletes would be in the pool, gym or on the field for at least 20 more minutes. So whoever had given the can to Chad wouldn't come looking for Chad until then.
Todd had to get Chad home and kenneled for the night. Eat. Then return that noght for his role in the school play. It was the reason he was going home early.
Chad was soon tied by his own belt in the back of Todd's pickup. Vroom. Todd was on the road. His dog hung his head over the side of the pickup bed, and enjoyed the wind racing by, as Todd took Chad to his new home.
Meanwhile, the secret admirer was furious that dogboy hadn't been at the Field House. He headed for the locker room, and was furious to see that Chad's locker was empty. Had he figured out it wasn't really a secret admirer.
