Antyny had overestimated how much his mind spell would hold without regular sex. Either that or he thought Janessa was truly in love with him. But as Janessa discovered during her time away from him, she did not love him. In fact, she despised him!
Janessa paced around her quarters impatiently. She had to do something! But she was days away from giving birth now. What she could do was severely limited. Even the amulet refused to do anything to her. Whether because she was pregnant or the amulet didn't think she was in trouble, Janessa knew not.
Her daughter kicked in her belly. Janessa chuckled.
"All right, princess. Your mother will stop stressing." Janessa waddled to the closest chair and sat down. She stroked her baby bump. Though her feelings for Antyny were false, her maternal urges were not. Somehow, she was excited to be a mother, and proud of the no doubt beautiful princess she was going to give birth to. And while being pregnant was no walk in the park, she loved getting some solitude as well as gowns that covered her whole body, instead of the flimsy scraps she wore in the harem.
Janessa drummed her fingers on the table near her, trying to think. She didn't have much time before she gave birth and Antyny resumed visiting her. She had to get word of who she really was to someone she trusted before then. But how?
