Midnight froze in place when she recalled the conversation.

Midnight had been eating when Anya came by, pulling her attention away from her oat mix.
The oats were one of her favorites, as the stable workers, who all liked the well behaved mare, always mixed things like dried apple pieces into her oats, so she would have normally been dissatisfied to be interrupted, but she was always happy to see Anya.
Anya gently patted Midnight's head, stroking her mane with a slightly regretful expression.
"I am sorry but... I will not be able to come for the next week. Perhaps even longer. There are a few tasks that I urgently need to attend to. But don't worry my love, I will make sure that everything is properly taken care of in my abscence."
Midnight was a bit concerned, but she trusted Anya, so she simply nodded. Anya smiled in response, looked Midnight in the eyes, and said-

And that was as far as Midnight recalled at the moment. For some reason she couldn't recall what Anya said after that, but what mattered was that Anya wouldn't be around for at least the next week.
More than enough time for her to become pregnant again, especially considering that she could see the stable boy approach again.
It seemed that, now that her foals were fed, it was time for her to spend some more time with Borealis.
She could tell that she would likely be very familiar with the stallion by the time Anya finally returned.
