As you ate together, Jessica had a look of pure anger on her face. At dinner last night, she had been pouty, but this morning, she was downright livid. She didn't say a word, perhaps trying not to say anything she might regret. She just gave you the stink eye and made occasional glances and feels at her now-nonexistent chest.
It worried you to see her take things this way. Last night, it had been fun to control all of the dials, but today, with your girlfriend reacting this way, you worried how this whole debacle might impact your relationship with her long-term.
It bothered you that she had taken such drastic actions, and that she apparently didn't trust you enough to just ask to keep them. "Would that have been so hard for her?" you thought angrily to yourself.
And this wasn't all you were worried about. As you both picked at your eggs, you considered that you actually couldn't remember exactly what the numbers for your girlfriend's boobs had been. Sure, you had a good general idea, but you'd never get it exactly right. It was like memorizing digits of Pi. Sure, most people know the approximation for Pi is 3.14, but how many people could remember 10, or even more digits? And this complexity was multiplied because you had swapped three attributes, and then swapped them across two boobs.
No. You had relied on those melons to keep track of the changes for you.
You'd probably get them close enough, but it would never be quite right, and your girlfriend would certainly call you out on your bluff if it was enough for her to notice.
As Jessica finished her eggs, she excused herself from the table, storming off towards the bedroom, slamming the door behind her. You couldn't blame her, really, but it still hurt that she'd reacted this way, especially after how close you'd felt with her last night.
"I guess I'll clean up," you said quietly, picking up your dishes and Jessica's as well, taking them into the kitchen and placing them into the sink before glancing at the piles of coins, feeling dejected and somewhat guilty about what you'd done. You contemplated how many coins to remove from the twin piles. Were you going to try getting Jen's boobs back to normal? Or maybe you should just give her back those melon monsters completely?
Then a darker thought crossed your mind: What if you changed her mind for her, switching around some numbers for how much she trusted you? That would fix this situation and future problems like it too, but did you really want to make such a core change to your girlfriend like that?
