Though the true amount of individuals known to psses the ability of NBM, or "Natural Body Magic," is not known, it is estimated that around 25% to 35% (or more) of the transformed population possesses at least some degree of the ability. NBM is, at its most basic level, the ability to painlessly and effortlessly detach limbs (often leaving a smooth, flat surface of skin at the points of separation) - and maintain, through still unknown means, the ability to control them.
Some mutants with NBM have more elaborate mastery over their abilities. Some can separate their body parts, not just their limbs, at any separation point of their choosing. Some can even attach separated body parts to other individuals, and even temporarily yield control.
And others can even wield their abilities on other living individuals bodies, with NBM abilities . . . or not.
As Class 4 NBM "wielders" must manually alter their targets bodies via physical contact, and do not have the ability to alter their targets' minds or mental states, they are regarded as less of a public hazard than fleshweavers - but numerous laws regarding the use of their abilities and consent of those they exercise their abilities upon exist, and are enforced punctually.
