Jared was determined to rehabilitate Dana’s body as quickly as possible. As such she did all the exercises assigned to her and more. Over the next week she made rapid progress. Spending extra hours on exercise bikes and treadmills, her legs strengthened and she regained full use of them.
Even though her arm movements had not been impaired by the accident, Jared had to constantly wear a neck brace as the doctors had fused two of her neck vertebrae together, which needed time to heal. Jared was shown exercises she could do to strengthen her upper body as well. Consequently, Jared started by lifting dumbbells and by the end of the week had progressed to pressing 10kg on a weights machine. That may not seem much but was difficult when you were wearing a neck brace.
The hospital gym was not the only place where Jared exercised. Every evening Spike visited. On Tuesday evening Sue also visited and Mrs C was present Wednesday and Friday. On those days Spike was well behaved. But on Monday, Thursday and Saturday Spike was able to lock the door and they enjoyed sex on the hospital bed. Jared made sure to utilise a towel so that the sheets did not get stained. Interestingly the orderly began to leave extra towels in the room from then on.
Sue kept Jared informed on what she knew of Anna and Dan. Evidently Dan had reappeared but was reluctant to talk to Anna. He certainly didn’t answer his phone when Jared tried calling using Dana’s phone. Likewise, Anna refused to give Sue the number on the telephone she was now using. Sue had called in to Dan’s unit where the couple were living but had not been invited inside. A busty redhead was with Dan. Sue suspected this was the real Dana but could not be certain.
Mrs C called in every day. Jared was by now used to the multiple hugs and affirmations of everlasting love that Mrs C regularly made. On Saturday afternoon Dana’s stepfather (Jared had discovered this from Sue) came with Mrs C. The man didn’t say much and looked uncomfortable.
Jared spent most of her days exercising or sitting in a chair using Dana’s ipad, which Mrs C had bought in. Jared spent a lot of time reading about the medallion of Zulo and what it could or could not do.
The doctor’s were very pleased with ‘Dana’s’ progress. They encouragingly told Jared that if she kept up her exercise routine and continued to make progress her stay in the centre might well be shortened.
On the Monday morning Jared underwent an Xray on her neck where two vertebrae had been fused. The doctors must have liked what they saw, as Jared was now given neck exercises. Until then she had to constantly wear a neck brace which kept her neck straight. Now under supervision she began to work on exercises to strengthen her neck muscles, although she was back in the restrictive neck brace once the physio left.
All in all, Jared was pleased to think that she was making progress and before too long could leave hospital. Then if true to her word, Dana would return her the medallion and she could get her male body back.
