Leah was so distracted by her pacifier during the car ride, she didn’t realize where they were going until they arrived. She looked out the window and, to her horror, saw her house! Amber looked back at her with a smirk.
“I told your stepmom that we’re doing a sleepover, but we can’t do a sleepover if you don’t have any of your things! Come on, baby!” Amber removed Leah from the car seat and carried her inside. Tina was sitting on the living room couch, reading, when they entered. She looked up and gasped.
“Leah! I thought you said you wouldn’t do this anymore!”
“What are you talking about?” Amber asked, pretending to be confused. She knew that Tina worked at a daycare, and if Leah was allowed to attend a daycare, it would be Tina’s.
“Leah went through this whole baby phase a while back, but she snapped out of it.” Tina crossed her arms, glaring at Leah. “At least, I thought she did.” Leah looked down at the floor in shame. “Well, Amber, I’ll help you get some things for Leah. Leah, we’re not done talking about this.”
Amber set Leah on the floor and left with Tina. While they were gone, a few farts escaped from Leah. She got into a squatting position. When Amber and Tina returned, that was how they found Leah: pooping her diaper.
“Leah! You’re messing yourself!” Tina gasped. Leah frowned.
“I am?” she asked around the pacifier. She grunted as she pushed harder. “I..didn’t…realize.”
“I think you’re right, we have to do the sleepover here,” Amber said to Tina. “I’ll run back home and grab some things.” Amber smirked at Leah as she left. Tina walked over to Leah and crossed her arms.
“Finish pooping and then I’ll change you,” Tina said angrily. Leah started to cry. Tina sighed. “Oh, sweetheart. It’s- well, it’s not okay, but we’ll figure this out. I’m sorry for upsetting you so much. Clearly, something is going on with you. And until we know what it is and can address it, some changes will need to be made.” Tina managed a small smile. “And I’m not just talking about your diaper.”
“What changes?” Leah asked. She finally finished pooping with a small sigh and straightened. Her diaper sagged under her. Tina picked her up and brought her to the bathroom.
“Well, Amber is such a sweet girl and has a lot of experience with babies and toddlers, so she’ll be helping out with you.”
“How?” Leah asked as a nervous spurt of pee entered her diaper. She was dreading whatever Tina had to say.
