Rachel soars through the air, mid-leap en route to... well, she hasn't quite figured that out yet, but the closer she gets, the more important it feels to get there. Wherever "There" actually is.
She's distracted by the cool feel of clouds whisping along her bare skin as a sharp sting strikes her in the small of her back. She cranes her head as best as she can to look, and can see smoke billowing from her back. She's been struck with a missile.
With a deafening roar, two fighter jets zoom past her on either side, causing her to clap her gargantuan hands over her ears. A hail of bullets strikes her directly in the side, feeling like a rapid barrage of insect bites, and she growls in annoyance.
She can hear the streaming hiss of another missile being fired from behind, but this time she's ready. With a sharp twist of her arms, she manages to turn her bulk around and face the missile head-on, and catches it in her right hand. She quickly flips its direction around and flings it back at the plane that shot it. Her aim rings straight and true, striking the plane with enough devastating force to make it explode soon thereafter. She can see an ejector seat shooting straight up from the plane, but she's unconcerned. She's mad as hell now.
Rachel lands hard on her feet in a fairly barren area of land, desert and highway the only scenery around her. She skids for nearly twenty feet, leaving fairly deep trenches in the ground.
"Bring it, motherfuckers," she growls, clenching her fists and gritting her teeth as the planes rain harsh bullet-fire on her in a criss-cross pattern. The bullets are just as useless as they were before.

"Would someone care to explain to me just what the hell those fighter jets are doing?" The commander says, calmly and with no sign of distress.
"They're not ours, sir. Trying to bring them up to get them to stand down." The nearest attendant answers, tapping his way through multiple comm units.
"I thought I informed all branches of the military that she's ours and they were not to engage in any way. Get them off of her back now or she'll be late."
