The days passed quickly, and soon Kat found herself in the midst of the breeding season. Every day, she was bred by different stallions, each one taking their turn inside her. She loved the feeling of being filled up, of being used for her purpose. She was a horse now, and this was just part of her life.
One day, as she was grazing in the field, she heard a familiar voice calling out to her. "Kat! Come here!"
Kat looked up and saw her brother Dan standing at the edge of the field, waving frantically. She trotted over to him, curious about what he wanted.
"Dan?" she said, her voice raspy and rough. "What are you doing here?"
Dan looked at her, a strange expression on his face. "Kat, we need to talk."
Kat nodded, her heart pounding in her chest. "Okay. What's going on?"
Dan hesitated for a moment, then said, "I need you to meet someone."
Kat frowned, confused. "Meet someone? Who?"
Dan pointed behind her, and Kat turned to see a beautiful mare standing at the edge of the field. She was a stunning bay, with a sleek coat and a friendly disposition. Kat couldn't help but admire her beauty.
"That's her," Dan said. "Her name is Daisy."
Kat looked back at her brother, still confused. "Daisy? Who is she? And why do I need to meet her?"
Dan sighed, his shoulders slumping slightly. "Kat, I...I don't remember being human anymore. My memories of our childhood, our parents, everything...they're all gone. All I remember is being born a horse, living in this pasture, and.. I love Daisy more than any of the other mares here."
Kat stared at him, unable to believe what she was hearing. "Dan, what are you talking about? Of course you remember being human. We're humans, not horses!"
Dan shook his head sadly. "No, Kat. We're not. We're horses now, and we need to accept that. I know it's hard, but...but I love Daisy, and I....I........."
Kat stared at him, her heart breaking. She could see the sadness in his eyes, the desperation. She didn't know what to say. She didn't know how to respond. All she knew was that her brother was gone, replaced by a horse who only remembered being born as a horse.
Dan turned to Daisy and trotted over to her. Kat trotted to them, they stood together in silence for a few moments. Then, without warning, Dan leaned over and nuzzled Daisy's nose. Dan was completely a horse in mind.
