"I want you to see something," Justine said to you, climbing into her tent for a moment, reappearing moments later, holding a book.
"What's this?" You asked, curious as to what it could be.
"I'm a photographer...I'm never without my camera. This is some of my work. I want to know what you think of it," she places it in your lap, snuggling in next to you, grinning at you in a friendly kinda way. Despite the fact that she's the heaviest of the three (though she's not fat, just pudgy), and she doesn't have the most impressive physical assets (though they're not bad, either legs or boobs...just not noteworthy compared to Lisa), and even though she doesn't have the raw seductive vibe of Marsha, you can't help but feel a little attracted to her. She has a certain precious quality about her, and it's obvious that she's got a bit of a crush on you.
You open the book, and the first few pages are pictures of starving homeless people, wounded soldiers, and a very somber series of pictures from the world trade center disaster. "Those were from my old life, before I met Lisa and Marsha," she says, sounding rather sad.
"I can imagine having to be around this stuff must've been rather depressing. It's easy to let the world get you down if you're not careful," you say.
She nods. "The next few pages are since I met them," She lays her head on your shoulder as you look at the newer photos. All of the pictures have a much happier vibe, with Lisa or Marsha as the subject, sometimes both of them. In every picture they're smiling. The quality of the photos is really quite high. Even the mundane ones have a sense of artistry that you could only hope to have.
"Wow," you tell her, "These are really good. I just kind of point the camera and hit the button. I'm lucky if my finger isn't in every shot. Seriously, I'm horrible. I get maybe five shots out of a roll of film that are worth keeping."
Justine laughs. "It just takes practice. I used to be like that too." The smile fades from her face, and she grows a bit quieter. "I...I used to..uhh... be a lot different then what I am now."
"Hey, cheer up," you respond, trying to bring her mood back up, "We all change over time."
She snickers derisively at you, "I don't think anyone changes as much as the three of us have." She takes the book from you, flipping a few pages further forward. "Tell me what you think of these," she says, her voice quite serious. Marsha and Lisa, who up to this point had been quietly chatting with each other now began to take note of you, eagerly gauging your reaction.
The first few seem very similar to the earlier pictures-just more of Lisa and Marsha. But then you begin to notice things. Lisa's ears seem to have grown points at the tips, and Marsha is sporting fangs in another one. In each successive photo, the girls get more beastial, until the last is simply a pair of bipedal wolves, one with red fur and one with black. You look over at the girls. Lisa and Marsha are positively leering at you, enjoying the moment. (Even though you knew all along.) Justine looks sadly at you. "That's...that's not makeup or a photoshop job, Chad. That's real."
"I know," you tell her, "I'm not stupid."
"You realize that we can't just let you leave, right?" Justine asks, still sounding quite sad.
"Yeah," you say, knowing that your little adventure is reaching a very penultimate moment.
"So...umm..." Justine stammers, "I...I guess you know what happens next, right?" Her eyes are a little watery, as though she's fighting back tears.
"I have a pretty good idea, yeah," you tell her.
