As Caleb poured the feed into the trough for the pigs, he couldn't help but watch them eagerly devouring their meal. The rhythmic sounds of their snuffling and grunting filled the air, and for a moment when he touched one of the pigs, Caleb felt a strange connection to the animals.
Without realizing it, Caleb found himself leaning closer to the trough, his own hunger forgotten as he became fixated on the pigs. The sight of them eating so voraciously triggered something within him, and before he knew it, he was mimicking their actions.
Dropping to his knees beside the trough, Caleb plunged his hands into the feed, scooping up handfuls of it and shoveling it into his mouth. The sensation of the grain against his lips and the earthy taste filled his senses, driving him to eat with a wild abandon.
His family watched in shock as Caleb's behavior became more and more pig-like, his grunts and snorts mixing with the sounds of the pigs around him. It wasn't until he had eaten his fill and collapsed back onto the ground, panting and covered in feed, that he snapped out of his trance.
The realization of what he had just done hit him like a ton of bricks, and Caleb scrambled to his feet, his face flushing with embarrassment. But deep down, he realized the horrifying truth – the curse was real.
