Mythical Greek art

added by Anonymous 3 months ago BM S TG O Mythological Anthro

It was a rather stunning piece of art, showing a lovely forest with multiple rocks spread out across the scene and a small flowing creek in the center of the work. Early morning sunlight came through the trees showing that some of the rocks where ancient Greek or roman inspired ruins. A full stone column still stood on one side of the work.

The subjects of the art where eight figures spread out in pairs across the work.

The center two was a shirtless man with goat legs and ram like horns sitting in the center of the work with a pan flute in his hands. Across from him sitting with her hooves in the water was a busty woman wearing a corset made out of natural items. She had deer-like hooves and a pair of antlers coming out of her wild mess of hair.

Those where satyrs, sometimes called fauns, a common mythical creature in Greek mythology. While they normally are shown as only being male here a more modern female version was also seen.

Coming into the scene from one side was a male and female centaur, their top half where human while their bottom half were the bodies of horses. The male was a deep brown coloring and had a spear in his hands while the women had a snow-white coloring and held a basket of fruit in her hands.

Deeper back into the corner was another pair that may be missed on first look. In the remains of a temple two shadowy figures could be seen. They looked larger than normal humans and no visible legs. Instead, their legs were fused together into a single limb. Judging movement in the women’s hair the two of them where medusa like creatures, though the name of a male medusa was unknown by most.

Coming in from the other side of the artwork opposite of the center was a massive Minotaur and a slightly shorter female Minotaur. The male towered over almost everyone aside from the female of his race, two large back horns come out of his head while the women had shorter horns. Both were muscular and moved in the nude toward the river.

The last pair coming down from above the centaur couple of pairs of wings were bird like people, their wings where not coming out of their backs but instead their hands themselves where the wings. Their bottom halves a mess of feathers with their feet being made of sharp talons. Like the others there where a male and female version of these harpies and they were swooping down toward the center.

Overall it was a rather impressive look at some Greek/roman inspired mythical creatures all gathered in one scene.

What was unknown was that this piece of art was actually a closed portal to a world where those creatures were very real. When the time came it would open and anyone who happened to be nearby would be pulled in and become one of the creatures shown or possibly a different type of mythical Greek/roman creature.
