The Memorial Day Weekend was often considered the official start of summer vacation for both schools and colleges because not all school and college systems get out on the same day or week. However, there were plenty of other things going on during the weekend to keep things interesting.

Memorial Day was one of the first of two holidays where veterans could get discounted conversions (with Veteran's Day being the other). While most of the time the veterans were suffering from PTSD or similar, less visible, problems, there were a few who were pretty banged up, and weren't just missing limbs. In this particular case, the most recent ones were, undoubtedly, from the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza.
Of course, this was almost guaranteed to cause an uptick in RHS, but this was causing a few, rather creative, solutions to the problem. The most well-known, so to speak, was veterans creating sexy RP videos. Most of the time they were when a male soldier gets captured by the enemy only to turn the tables on the female interrogator and escape, but there were a few videos where a scientist attempts to create a super soldier only for their plan to work a little too well and the super soldier escapes, but not before "enjoying" the scientist.

Another thing that was going on was the official opening "party" of Ao Guang Island, as covered by the Quasi-Raccoon Cuties. One unexpected result was this was the confirmation of an internet rumor that Ao Guang Island was also going to be home to branches of the BARA and ROSE houses, not that this was a bad thing. In fact, a large group of BARA house members were helping out with the construction of the other facilities, including a, planned, health spa, speeding development up considerably.
"So, grandma," asked Da-Xia/Dixie's granddaughter over Zoom (in Chinese, so this conversation is translated), "are there plenty of males there?"
"There are, indeed." confirmed Dixie, smiling semi-naughtily.
"So... what are they all wearing?", asked the granddaughter. "Something loose and butch, or tight and showy?"
"...tight.", answered Dixie, grinning even wider.
"Annnddd...", wheedled the granddaughter.
"... bigger than in the anatomy textbooks.", said Dixie, simply. At that, there was a burst of girly giggling from both of them.
Meanwhile, the two Chinese officials had learned something from their government, much to their mixed feelings on the matter. A few more old ladies with lotus foot syndrome had been found. While this was good, in a way, Da-Xia's RHS was causing them to have second thoughts on the matter.
