Alisa had backed herself into a corner in the common room, not feeling secure at all. She couldn't explain it, but things just felt weird since she'd gotten here, and the vibe kept rising. For a moment, she debated leaving and searching for her friends. She felt incredibly lonely without them here. But then she glanced out the window, and saw the sun had fully set. Sighing, Alisa resigned herself to staying at the inn for the night. It wasn't safe for a cleric to wander by herself in the dark and strange lands, even if it was a simple theme park.
"May I have your attention, please," boomed the voice of the older barmaid, who had wandered into the room. She shut the door behind her, appearing to lock it. The room fell silent as all assembled turned to hear what she had to say.
"We here in Moonflow welcome you, and give you an invitation to stay here with us forever," she smiled. The crowd politely clapped and raised glasses of mead to the barmaid. The four serving girls set their platters down, gathering around her. "And now, we'd like to perform a little ceremony we call 'The blessing of Moonflow, or The Lunar Talon'. Now, to an outsider, this ceremony may seem a little strange," the barmaid continued, "so I ask you not to panic, lest you ruin the ceremony." Various people in the crowd nodded, the rest simply looked confused.
Alisa was amongst the confused. 'I've never heard of this in any of the D&D books I've ever read,' she thought to herself, feeling the weirdness vibe growing even stronger now. She began to reconsider leaving.
"Could I have a volunteer, please," asked the barmaid.
