You wanted to pinch yourself… This had to be a dream… And yet… Everything felt so real… The tickling of your long brown hair against your shoulders, the softness of the nightgown, the sheets underneath, how small you felt next to everything else in this room… You were Karen, your 8-year-old niece, from head to toe!
You had to figure out some answers… But you couldn’t exactly do it sitting here in Hello Kitty pajamas… Besides, your aunt was expecting you downstairs at the breakfast table dressed and up for the day. You had to get out of this room… But first, you needed to get dressed.
You hopped out of the bed, your petite new feet pattering on the cream colored rug as you threw open Karen’s closet… You knew most of the outfits in here, seeing Karen wearing them one or two times while out and about… Dresses, skirts, t-shirts, a few pairs of shorts, swimsuits, PJs, panties, along with every type of shoe that a little girl could ever want… Which kind of was a problem. You’d hoped for something half easy to wear, something a little bit boyish… But Karen was a very girly girl, the type to always prefer dresses and skirts no matter the weather. Hell, you didn’t even think the girl had any jeans!
Finally, though, you came across something half decent… Granted, it was still quite feminine. It was a knee length t-shirt dress, a lilac purple in color with short sleeves, the word “JUSTICE” plastered across the chest in silver rhinestones. A stupid tween store your niece shopped at with her friends… But it was still better than anything with flowers or pink, and would be easy to slip on. You grabbed the dress, along with the first pair of clean panties you got your hands on (a purple pair with butterflies plastered across them), before changing as quickly as possible out of the cutesy little nightgown you had woken up in.
You had to close your eyes as you slipped out of it, trying to control the blush building on your face from being in your niece’s body like this… But eventually, you were able to slide the dress over your head and clean undies up your legs. You took a look at yourself in the closet door mirror, the confused face of Karen staring back at you. Her… Or you supposed your hair was a little messy, your eyes like a deer in the headlights… But you had to admit, even like this you looked cute as a button. Grannies would line up to pink your cheeks… A soft blush burned on your face as you admired your reflection… Before shaking away the odds thoughts. You needed to focus, to figure out what was going on… But for now, you at least needed to stop gawking at your niece’s reflection and head down to breakfast.
Every last sensation felt odd as you left Karen’s room… The feeling of your hair bouncing with each step, the way your hips ever so slightly swayed, the size of everything around you… It felt like you were experiencing the world for the first time, every last feeling hitting your mind as if for the first time… But you were able to keep it together long enough to make it down to the dining room… Auntie Emily was already working at the stove and making breakfast, Uncle Peter at his seat and drinking his morning coffee… As soon as he noticed you, Uncle Peter broke into a bright smile, “Hey! There’s Sleeping Beauty!”
Uncle Peter got up, rushing over towards you… You were surprised when he started showering your forehead with kiss after kiss, his scratchy beard tickling you and sending you into a fit of giggles, “Ahahahahaha, Uncle Peter! Thtop! Ahahahaha!” You say in between fits of laughter, “What are you doing?”
Peter gave you a big goofy smile, “What, I can’t be happy to see my favorite little house guest?”
“Oh Pete, settle down…” Emily chided with a small giggle, “Karen’s just waking up… Besides, if you keep holding her hostage with kisses, she won’t get the breakfast she needs for her big day!”
“Alright, alright!” Peter said with a laugh as he stood back up, giving you a small smile, “So Karen, sweetie, how’d you sleep?”
“Um… O-Okay, I gueth,” You lisp out slowly, “Had thome… Weird dreamth but… Woke up alright…”
“Well, I know the perfect cure for weird dreams,” Emily said with a bright smile, “Fresh pancakes, princess?”
Your eyes grew wide with excitement as Aunt Emily laid a two-pancake breakfast in front of you, drenched in syrup… Just like Karen liked it. You weren’t the biggest fan of syrup, but… Well, one bite and your taste buds were in heaven! It was the best syrup you’d ever tasted, and you were already working to gobble up breakfast…
“W-Wow! Thankth, Auntie!” You say honestly, “Um… I jutht have one quethtion though… Um… What’th going on today?”
A small giggle escaped Auntie Emily’s lips, giving you a curious look, “What’s going on today? Sweetie, did you really forget? You’ve been excited about it all week! It’s…”
