Michael paced around Sara’s (or rather, his new) bedroom, lightly looking around the room nervously… He instinctively reached out to the bed for support, his hand grazing against an adorable frog Squishmallow laying against the bed post… His eyes fell on the closet in front of him and the dresser off to the side… He was sure, given his new wardrobe, that everything in those drawers and shelves would fit him… But he still wanted to know what awaited him, what he would be forced to wear… He looked down at the baby pink shirt he was wearing, the cutesy little unicorn on it grinning up towards him… He gave a heavy sigh. It’s not like putting this off would make it easier…
Michael made his way toward the pretty white dresser, throwing open the top drawer with a small grunt. Inside, as expected, were row after row of socks and underwear, cutesy and sized for his male form… Princesses, flowers, hearts, and more all adorned the rows and rows of undies within… And the socks were no better, every color of the rainbow represented… Off to the side were a mountain of scrunchies, along with some haphazardly tucked away play lip gloss… It was the cheap childish candy flavored kind, the kind that Michael knew was popular with younger girls that he saw in Target or through the mall window of Claire’s once or twice…
The next drawer down contained t-shirts, a few pairs of jeans and shorts, with nightgowns and pajamas in the next drawer down… Swimsuits and cover-ups made up the bottom drawer of the dresser… All throughout, Michael noticed that Sara was the type of girl to display her love for her favorite characters and animals through her clothes… The shirts and swimsuits featured familiar cartoon faces more often than not… Disney Princesses, Barbie, My Little Pony, Powerpuff Girls, Tinker Bell, Monster High, even Miraculous Ladybug… Ariel smiled happily on a two piece teal bikini Michael grazed his fingers in, the suit sitting right next to a Moana one, which sat right next to a one-piece featuring Pinkie Pie. Sara definitely seemed to love her cartoons!
The closet didn’t seem any better… The bottom was lined with row after row of shoes… Mary Janes, sandals, flip flops and flats made up the majority of the shoes, broken up by the odd pair of sneakers. Michael could see the spot where the current light up sneakers would go when it was time to put them away… But it was the dresses that made Michael’s eyes grow wide… There were casual t-shirt dresses, simple sun dresses, little party dresses, all sized to his male form… Michael felt an odd shiver go down his spine as his fingers ran across a hot pink party dress with a simple black belt around the waist… Why did it feel so good to touch? Why did Michael feel like smiling happily touching it… And… Why did it look so… *pretty*…
Michael shook the odd thought away, holding his head slightly, ‘Wait… Pretty?’ He thought, ‘I don’t think any dresses are pretty? Where the hell did that even come from? I don’t… Huh…’
Michael stopped… There was another outfit towards the back… But… This one was more well cared for, more clearly protected than the other ones… Michael had to see what it was, quickly sliding clothes aside, and was shocked to see the outfit hanging up in the closet… Of course, it wasn’t any old outfit… Michael was looking at…
