Staring at the hair band she saw in her hand she thought about her decision. She needed to use something that was quickly available which meant the kids yet she didn't want to invade their privacy by taking one of their body. So in the end she decided on her daughters young red hair, and she was getting it alright. As she watched in the mirror her hair started to change from brown to Red. She watched in amazement yet kept on course removing the medallion just as the change reached her skull. She tugged the hair to make sure it was real and realized that everything about this medallion was real. She could be anybody she wanted with just a touch of the medallion. Best of all she had all summer to play with it with her kids. She waited patiently for her children to come home as she thought up ideas about what they could use the medallion for.
As Jake and Jenny came in the door they were quickly greeted by their mom. "Hey mom what did you do to your hair it looks just like mine?" Jenny asked
"Well Jenny thats because it is your hair. I found this medallion and you kids won't believe the capabilities it has." Mom said and she quickly explained the limitations and powers of the increible device. "So kids any ideas on where we should go for summer along with this amazing device?"
Jake had been standing amazed and still this entire time. Finally he spoke up, "So mom your telling me that we now have possession of a magical item that will turn us into anybody we want but we are stuck as that person for half a day exactly and you want to use it as a toy on our vacation?"
"Yes Jake that is exactly what I am proposing." replied mom.
"Well then my vote is somewhere secluded. Oh I know can we use grandpas fishing cabin in the woods." Jake responded
"Yeah that place is awsome with a lake and bluffs and a huge forest to play in though I have an idea that will make the trip more fun. What if we buy a bunch of clothes from a thrift store so we can be completely random people we've never seen." Jenny sugested "Yeah I was actually about say that though also throw in some new clothes cause they make us look like what we would have if we fit that article." Jake chimed in.
"Well seems like you kids got this all planed out. Well I guess I'll go out and get the supplies and call grandpa. Also i have an idea that will make tomorow morning more fun and the drive a little more intresting." Mom said.
"What your idea mom?" Jake asked.
"Well I'm partially changed already and since you guys are such heavy sleepers i was thinking of changing both of you while you sleep if thats ok with you."
"You know what that sounds fun mom but now i don't know if ill be able to fall asleep." Jake said
"Well don't worry I'll be home long after you've fallen asleep and tomorrow you both will have a new body. Though I will tell you that it will stay in the family for this ferst time, so i wont be using anything from people use dont know. and Well thats enough from me its getting late and we got a 2 hour car ride tomorow so pack your bags with everything you may need and I mean EVERYTHING. BYe!" and with that mom went out to retrieve the bodies of people they would need for the trip.
"Well Jake i guess I'll see a new you before I see you tomorrow." Jenny joked
"Sure will wonder what it will be, good night."
