"No way." Jennifer thought to herself, it would be so easy to trigger the curse during a game, she wasn't that stupid. Jennifer hopped on the bus to take her home, sure her mom would be upset, but that would only be for tonight, she was on the fast track to getting back to high school, no matter what.
As she skipped off the bus she noticed a bike by the door, she didn't think it was hers, after all, it was covered in cheap hot rod flame stickers. Jennifer walked up the stairs to the porch to find a boy, just about her age sitting there. "Oh my god, Jenni I was worried sick about you." He stood up and gave her a hug. Jennifer was confused, what was going on? He leaned back "Are you ok? It's me, Alex? You know, your boyfriend, wait are we still dating? I didn't see you at lunch today, I hope I didn't do anything wrong."
Jennifer was stunned, her first real boyfriend was correctly at fourteen, but his name was Derek, not Alex. She studied him up and down, for a first boyfriend she couldn't have done much worse, he wasn't as toned as Derek, most likely didn't play any sports, but he seemed sweet, and he certainly was cute.
"Can we go inside? This heat is getting rough." Jennifer nodded, opening up the front door and gesturing for Alex to enter, when he quickly did. As Jennifer followed suit, it became quickly apparent that this wasn't the first time he had been over to her house, he kicked off his shoes by the door and turned the corner to the kitchen, grabbing a cup of water. As Jennifer entered the kitchen she was suddenly shocked to find Alex already have wrapped himself around her, swooping in for a kiss. One she accepted. A small batch of butterflies had escaped in her stomach, as she savored the kiss, though she might have bumped teeth with her braces. "Sorry" she apologized, "Still not usthed to the whole brathes thing." She blushed at her stupid lisp. "I actually find it really cute." Alex retorted. For being her age he certainly was a charmer, like he knew everything right to say to her.
