Duke and Sasha were a little worried when they got a message to meet Wyatt and Kyra in their throne room, they thought that someone or something bad might have happened. When they finally arrived in the throne room, they were a little relieved to see nothing looked wrong, but they did notice Vlad next to Lisa along with Wyatt and Kyra who was holding little Andrew who excitedly got up and ran up to the two of them.
"Unca Duck! Unca Duck!" Little Andrew said happily as he went to Duke's legs. He then looked over at Sasha and grinned. "Auntie Sock! Auntie Sock!" Little Andrew said as he hopped up and down wanting her to pick him up.
"Auntie Sock?" Sasha asked confused looking towards Kyra. "My son may be speaking now, but it doesn't mean he speaks perfectly yet." Kyra said with a small chuckle as little Andrew gave Sasha a hug and kissed her cheek. Just like Andromeda, Andrew was touching her heart.
"Now, what's this all about? Why did you call the both of us down here?" Duke asked wanting to know.
Wyatt took a deep breath and looked to Vlad and then to Kyra before standing up. "It may come as a shock to you, but since you've been staying here with us and helping the nation recover after it's....troubles," Wyatt said looking at Lisa who looked a little sad about the implication. "my dislike of you has waned." Wyatt admitted as Duke was surprised to hear his brother admit this considering their history.
"I think it comes down to the children. Ever since you've been staying with us, they've come to see you as family and I know they'll be sad to see you both leave in the near future. But I want you to know that you....both are welcome to come here to the nation, whenever you wish to see the children. However there is the matter of....your girlfriend." Wyatt said looking at Sasha.
"Hey jerk, if the kids want me around here, then who am I to deny them? I think they'd be more up at you both if you didn't let them see me. 'Dromy especially would be sad and I'd hate to see that little girl cry." Sasha said point her finger at Wyatt.
"My point exactly. I don't want to deny my children seeing both of you seeing as how you've made quite the impact on your young lives. So recently, Vlad was looking through some old belongings of his and things that father kept, and it just so happened that he came across this." Wyatt said holding up a wedding ring.
"A wedding ring?"
"Not just any wedding ring. It was your mother's wedding ring. I suppose father kept it as a reminder of your mother, so I suppose he did still love some part of her. Vlad has no reason to keep it, and I gave Kyra a wedding ring quite a while ago. But this has more value to you, than it does any of us, so if you want Sasha to be part of your family, I suggest you take this ring and ask her the question." Wyatt said giving the ring to Duke.
Duke looked at the ring in his hand, then looked over at Sasha who looked shocked and surprised as she put little Andrew down. Sasha cupped her mouth as Duke walked over to her, then got on his knee and looked up at her.
"Sasha Sampson, you are the greatest thing that ever happened to me. You saved me when I was lost, you helped me find my voice, and you've shown me more love than anyone and made me realize that I can still be loved by people. Now, Sasha Sampson, will you marry me?" Duke asked his girlfriend speaking from his heart.
"Oh, Duke....you're going to make me cry like Gloria. But yes, of course, I'll marry you." Sasha responded accepting the ring. Duke then stood up and kissed Sasha on the lips.
"I hope you're father won't be mad I didn't ask him first." Duke said with a chuckle.
"Oh, he'll be more mad that you didn't ask me sooner." Sasha chuckled back.
"Yeah Unca Duck and Auntie Sock!" Little Andrew said as he clapped his small hands together and hugged Duke and Sasha's legs.
