Jeff read his Bible. He wasn't actually a Christian but he did find the Bible as fascinating as Greek mythology. He was reading 1 Timothy 2:9 when he realized the Bible had a very different understanding of modesty than modern people had. Although they wore clothes in the Bible, Biblical modesty had less to do with sex and more to do with wealth.
Then he thought about the Chronivac. He had been wondering what changes to make for a couple of days now and the Bible gave him a little inspiration. He began typing:
"Modesty shall be redefined to mean the opposite of showing off. The concept of modesty meaning the prevention of lust will cease to exist. Whenever anyone says to be modest, they mean to remove expensive jewelry and expensive clothing and quit showing off. They do not mean to cover one's genitals.
"People will still wear clothing for protection, for utility or for self expression but they will no longer have modesty as a reason to wear clothes. No one will feel any shame or embarrassment about their bodies anymore.
"Without modesty, showering or bathing together will become common. In fact, more showers and baths will be placed outside in public spaces. Hygiene rooms will typically only contain a toilet and a sink and maybe a bidet.
"It is also okay to pee in public as long as one pees into appropriate places like in the flowers but pooping is still something done in private, not because of modesty but because poop is gross. Menstruation is also to be handled in private and menstruating women or people who have poop problems are expected to wear the proper clothes and stay hygienic, again not because of modesty. Lactating in public is okay.
"Sex in public is still frowned upon but people can do pretty much anything just short of sex in public. This includes fondling, frotting and ejaculating. The taboo against public sex has to do with preventing pregnancy with questionable parentage. The taboo against public sex also has to do with preventing the exposure of poop in public. The taboo also prohibits oral sex in public but not tongue kissing. The taboo against public sex is not because of modesty nor is there a limit to the number of people that can have sex away from the general public.
"It is also still taboo to involve children in sex but like the taboo against sex in public, this has to do with children being underdeveloped and unable to cope with adult sexuality. Children may engage in other forms of affection other than sex as long as it's mutually consensual. Power dynamics will be taken into consideration so that if a fourteen year old boy forces himself on a ninety year old, bed ridden, female invalid, the fourteen year old will be charged with rape. For rape fantasies, consensual, non-consensuality will be recognized as long as it can be proven that the victim did have the power, either through a safe word or by other means, to stop. Children, especially younger children, don't have much power.
"There is also still a taboo against incest but only to prevent birth defects. As long as the people are preventing pregnancies between genetically similar people, there is no issue about modesty.
Jeff made sure to set himself as aware, but that everyone else would be adjusted accordingly. With this validated, he hit apply and the changes took effect.
