But the patch continued to act, and Mr. Cameron - no, Nathaniel - didn't remain their classmate for long.
"Wow, I can't believe they put me with you two even though you're a class above me", said Nathaniel, leering at Madison.
"Guess we were just lucky?" said Pauline, staring right back.
"Y-yeah, um, just... uh..." At 16 Nathaniel was deflating, losing the physique he had built and getting skinnier and more awkward. Suddenly being in the presence of two 18-year-old girls was getting him hopelessly flustered. Now he was trying his best not to stare.
"Don't worry, we don't bite", said Madison with a grin, crossing her arms.
"Much", added Pauline.
The years continued flying off. Nathaniel gasped involuntarily as he dropped in height, hitting his growth spurt in reverse, finding himself staring up at the two girls as his clothes sagged on his scrawny frame.
"This is a really big place", said Nate, staring around the room in wonder as his teen years were forgotten, and with them any interest in girls. "What are you going to do?"
"We have something in mind, don't worry" said Pauline as Nate held his pants up.
"It's nice of you to look after me, Miss Paulie, Miss Maddie", said 9-year-old Nate politely, scratching his thick mop of brown hair. "Can I have some clothes that fit though?" he whined.
"Don't worry about it", said Madison, patting him on the head playfully.
Nate pouted as he continued shrinking, getting smaller and pudgier, his thick hair thinning out as he became a toddler. "Thanksh", he said, sucking on his thumb.
Madison and Pauline stood over him as sat down, his tiny body lost in the pile of his oversized clothes. He was getting smaller... smaller... Pauline brushed the clothes aside and picked him up. He giggled in her hands, now no more than a plump, wiggling baby.
"Holy shit", said Madison. "That's Mr. Cameron".
"I know right?" said Pauline.
"So, uh... what happens next? Does he keep going until he disappears or...?"
The patch was still on Nate's back. Pauline could take it off... or they could take this to its logical conclusion...
