Since the last two days of June fell on a weekend, Animalia and its colonies were prepping for Animalia's big birthday celebration, but there were still two years to go before Animalia had its 10th anniversary, so there was plenty of time to prepare for that. There were some other things that needed preparations for in a shorter time frame.
---
One of the best examples was actually more focused on Lyre/Animalia than in its colonies, due to Fourth of July. Fortunately, both BARA and ROSE houses had started their Fireworks sales and Car Wash, though the ROSE girls didn't use their bodies as well as their car sponges on cars that had young children in them, much to the relief of their parents.
---
Another thing that people were preparing for were the 2024 Paris Olympics. While there wasn't anything like the IAC going on, everyone had so enjoyed the comparison between Amateur Animalian Athletes and Olympic Athletes/Champions at the 2020/2021 Tokyo Olympics that it was decided to keep doing it every year. Of course, this wouldn't happen until later in July, and the Superheavyweight and Ultra-Heavyweight Animalian Athletes wouldn't be allowed to compete, for obvious reasons.

While Ao Guang was just fine having the Quasi-Raccoon Cuties doing their coverage, it wasn't just them doing special recording. There was also Susan and Tzan and their boyfriends, who were doing an episode of Fun and Fins on the island for their own reasons. Fortunately, nobody really blamed Susan declaring a "crossover ep." with them, especially since there were already a few crossover episodes in their series.

On Heiya Island, preparations were in place of a different kind. Ami was reading over the report, and still having trouble believing what was in it.
According to the report, a "cryptocurrency scam factory" (where people labored in terrible conditions to scam people out of their "bitcoins") on the borders between Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos had just been shut down by both Interpol and the police forces of the mentioned countries, and while the masterminds of said scam factory had fled, more than a thousand workers, both men and women, had been rescued. While roughly 3/4ths of those rescued were able to go home, the remaining quarter had nowhere to go, and more than half of that were old-timers whose jobs had become obsolete in this modern time.
While Ami was more than willing to accept them, she didn't really have room on either Heiya, Ryouiki, or Ao Guang Island to house them all. Fortunately, the Stone Age-themed Island (now named as Sutōnburēdo Island, with Sutōnburēdo literally meaning "Stone Blade") had just been finished surveying and the first, seaside village was nearly finished, and the "capital city" had already laid its foundations. Part of the reason behind the name was the fact that said island was a naturally occurring source of both obsidian and flint, perfect for making both tools and weapons.
Fortunately, both for Ami and the others, Sutōnburēdo Island wouldn't be officially opened until Animalia's big birthday celebration, and those who had been rescued from the "scam farm" were more than happy to convert to Dinotopians, including some obscure species Horizon would like some data on, and learn new skills (including skills like stone-knapping) in exchange for being rescued from "that terrible place" as they called it. Of course, there were concerns about RHS among those converted, but this could be considered a good chance to find out more about it.
