From the outside “The Mermaid’s Tail” seemed like a typical pop up store a kin to those discount Halloween stores which pop up every year in some abounded retail space in September only to disappear days after Halloween ended.
The “Mermaid Tail” shops did happen to appear close to beach front tourist spots appearing around the time Spring Break starts and disappearing when summer ends only to reappear again next year. They sold a bunch of mermaid and merman related items, ranging from the G rated stuff for children to the Mature related stuff located in the adult only selection. They even offered some nontraditional looking mermaid items, like eel like merpeople, shark tailed, octopus style and so on. If it is related in any way to mermaids or merman they sell it.
One thing which was their trademark was their mermaid/merman themed swimsuits be it regular swimsuits or mono fin suits. They even offered suits made to look like a shark, lionfish, eel, octopus or anything else one may imagine. They offered custom suits and even family bundle packs.
Overall, it is an interesting place to visit and sometimes people buy some very special stuff.
Some special stuff indeed, for some of these items have been infused with magic.
Once a person buys it, a timer begins and be it a few hours, a day or at most a week. They would find themselves drawn to the sea where the true goal of the Mermaid Tail store comes into being.
The true goal of the store is to select people at random to become merfolk for real and now someone is about to enter the store and get an item that will change their lives forever.
