A name describes the thing

added 9 days ago O Mental

Steve thought aloud. "Och, ye ken, it best be somewhere wi a Scottish accent, so I don't sound a right prat," she seethed, incapable of dropping the thick Scottish burr.

The narrator seemed to take this as a choice. The character sheet in Steve's hand began to fill out even further, adding in a background of 'Hillfolk Daughter', and... hold on, was it writing in a name for her?!

The narrator went to speak as Steve became aware she was standing on a trail running through an overcast forest, dew still clinging to the leaves. Her hefty chest was squeezed into what was basically a fur bra, a loincloth and foot wraps being the rest of her 'attire'. "Fit am I wearing?!" she exclaimed. But the narrator ignored him and continued.

'The Hillfolk still live to the north in the foothills of the great grey mountains, living their traditional lives of hunting, herding and in leaner times, pillaging. Born to a Hillfolk clan, as is their tradition, she was not named until her 15th birthday. However, she'd been born with the influence of the vice of sin, and by the time she was fifteen, she had the largest breasts in the clan. Fortunately she hadn't seemed inclined to use fell powers upon her kin, indeed, she was a rather sweet youth and so they did feel bad that their tradition called for naming children according to what potential they had and what animal spirit it connected to. Rather than a name like Might-of-Bear or Sight-of-Eagle, she was now known to the clan as Largest-of-Udders, or Udders for short.' Udders howled, even as the magic of the world wiped her knowledge of her old name from her. Udders couldn't even think of herself under another name, everyone including her knew her to be Largest-of-Udders, a daughter of a hillfolk clan set out on a quest to find prosperity and adventure.

Trying not to panic, Udders looked at her sheet. OK, so apparently she was a little stronger, but still not especially strong, but fairly durable. And her skills... 'Skills: Novice Axes, Awareness, Seduction, Woodcraft'. Trying to ignore her seductive prowess, at least she'd be able to defend herself and survive. Udders' hand patted at the axe on her hip for reassurance.

'And Udders knew this was the only paper in all the realm she could read, for the Hillfolk are not literate.'

Udders rolled her eyes. "Fuck's sake, how much more shit are you going to pile on me?"

Suddenly she felt tension creeping up her back. The narrator continued, his voice filled with a sudden malevolent glee. 'As Udders travelled the trail, her keen senses made her aware of a party of cultists approaching, their robes indicative of the cult of El-Shangran. What choices she makes in the next leg of her journey will determine her class setting out into the world of Illyriar.'

Udders reached for her axe handle, aware of the choices she could make, like options in an RPG. She could try to fight, but even with some axe proficiency she wasn't strong or dextrous, her soft body encumbered by her over-large breasts. She didn't know any magic, and while Udders had liked playing mages in D&D she wasn't sure an illiterate would be able to do it. And of course, she could bargain with her body, even if she wasn't *that* desperate.

The narrator spoke up, urging her to choose. What will Udders do?
