Just as Jeff was about to reply, his stomach growled. Melissa looked at him with a strange look. "Um, Jeff, is your stomach okay?" She asked, confused.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine." Jeff said, blushing slightly.
Melissa shrugged. "Ok, so do you want to see a movie?" She asked again, her smile returning.
Jeff thought about it for a second before answering. "Actually, I'm not feeling that great right now... maybe we should do this some other day?" He said, trying not to look too disappointed.
Melissa sighed, but nodded. "Okay, how about next Friday then?" She asked, giving his hand a squeeze.
"Yeah, sounds great." Jeff said, smiling.
"Cool. See you Monday then." She said before leaning over and kissing his cheek. She then grabbed her tray and left.
Jeff walked out of the mall, blushing heavily. He couldn't stop thinking about the kiss on the cheek she gave him, and he didn't want to stop. As Jeff walked home, he was feeling a bit weird. His stomach was feeling rather strange. Not in an unpleasant way, but definitely different. He figured it was just his new organ getting used to its surroundings, so he pushed the thought aside.
By the time he got home, he was feeling more than a little odd. He had never felt like this before. He was feeling warm, and it was almost like his skin was tingling.
