Mid-afternoon sometime in the middle of the local summer holidays “Well then Tania. We’re here” this shoulder-length raven haired and brown eyed Japanese Asian looking woman wearing a white jumper above grey trousers and black slip-on shoes said to someone in the backseat of the brown jeep she was driving. “Really has been 6 months hasn’t it” this orange long shorts under a black short-sleeved top with white trainers wearing chin-length dark-red haired and brown eyed 10 year old girl with features both Asian and Caucasian responded, picking up this pet carrying box holding a light-brown Asian Shaded female cat with the name ‘Ayana’ on the fishtag on her collar “Will Mr Goodwill be expecting us aunt Haru?” Tania then asked. “Was him who setup this appointment or appointments” the woman assured as they left the car and headed inside.
This indeed wasn’t the two’s first visit and any chance onlooker to them leaving the first time would rightly guess them leaving with Ayana would be their first day with a pet cat. As such bar a few rearrangements in shelving orders, everything was setup like that original visit to the various collection of toys and food packs the shelves were holding, the water bowls setup in droves nearby the main counters to newspapers setup in corners to be used as bathrooms by the animals either coming in with their owners or from the vast corrals out the back where they stayed otherwise.
And as both Aunt and Niece expected the elderly owner, wearing a grey plaid shirt with black slacks and matching work-boots covered by a blue apron was at the main counter apparently doing a bit of dusting before placing back down a few bowls of ‘treats’. “Mr Goodwill” Tania greeted as she and her aunt Haru approached, putting Ayana’s box on the newly dusted counter as they did so. “Ah, hello again Tania and Haru-san” Mr Goodwill agreed politely. “Again Mr Goodwill you don’t have to be so formal” Haru assured while Tania let Ayana out of the box. “Sorry. Force of habit in adapting to customers by race, all polite of course” Mr Goodwill apologised while giving Ayana what seemed to be a check-up.
“…I assure you we’ve not been entering contests and she’s only been a house pet” Tania insisted. “Just a procession Tania. For clear reasons to assure everything is going as instructed” Mr Goodwill returned kindly “Now to get this appointment fully started”. “Of course” Haru and Tania accepted:
