The next day, Juan started noticing something strange about his body. The first sign was a tingling in his face that turned into a slight itch. Looking in the mirror, he saw that his beard, usually thin and well-groomed, had grown thicker and fuller overnight.
"How odd," he thought, assuming it might be a natural change.
As the days passed, his face began to broaden, his jaw becoming more pronounced, and the beard not only grew denser but extended down his neck, connecting with hair that was beginning to cover his chest.
Juan started worrying, he was never a hairy guy and suddenly all this hair was sprouting rapidly across his chest and face. He decided to shave it, feeling a bit ashame of his new furry body.
Meanwhile, due to the constat shaving, Pablo didn’t notice this hairy transformation his boyfriend was experimenting, so after a few days of not very evident changes he felt relieve that maybe the Ursa Beer was a fraud after all. That would mean that he didn’t condemn Juan to an unwilling life as a fat and hairy burly man as he feared.
However, the changes have just started.
Soon after, Juan notice that his hunger was notably increased. Juan, who had always been meticulous about his diet and exercise, felt baffled. He couldn’t stop thinking about food, especially rich, hearty meals he used to avoid. Pablo saw that, Juan was not only eating more, he was eating two or three times more that before.
“Juan, are yoy feeling okey latly? You are eating all the time” Pablo asked to his boyfriend who just finished a third bag of chips in a row.
“I don’t understand neather, maybe it’s the stress from work… I should really stop doing this” Juan replied.
But he didn’t stop and soon he was starting to gain weight. His belly, once flat, began to round out. As the days went by, his belly grew more prominent, his abs banishing behind a new lawyer of fat, and his clothes became increasingly tight.
Pablo, meanwhile, watched these changes with a mix of guilt and fascination. He knew what was happening, it was the Ursa Beer, but he couldn’t help feeling attracted to Juan’s new appearance. His boyfriend, now with a physique that each day was coming closer to his dreamed bear boyfriend, it ignited in him an even more intense attraction. However, the guilt also gnawed at him from within. It wasn’t meant for Juan to transform in this way, but now there was nothing Pablo could do to reverse it.
