I wake up and I sit up. Everything is still blurry and I stare at the poster. It looks like strange alien symbols. Looking at my skin it's brown, more than I wanted but at least I don't looks like a clown anymore. Wait. I check my pelvis and it's a bit tanned, the colour I wanted it to be. I lie down again still inshock and the nurse comes in. She tells me that my Dad who's a scienctist and a docter done the surgery but tells me that I still have more to do.
My dad walks In and explains everything. "Son, you see. Your brain is severely damaged and you will not be able to process reading, speaking grammatical correct words and the ability to write. Your brother Devin will do the explanation." Devin comes in and he giggles as he gives me a sheet of paper. "Read it, he says." Reading? That's easy! I look at the paper but I just see symbols and some alien writing. I desperately try say something and I realised it looked like letters. But only letters, just words. Oh yeah! I learned this in Pre-School. I can read it? "Eattaw, Kopp, Aarrv, Ott." WHAT! No way. "the words were Dog, cat, bed and hello. This is even worse than I thought. You were just excpected to say them very slowly and phrasing them but now your mind is set at 1 years old." "Try this, Ryan. Write one word. Any word!" Devin tells me. Okay, any word. Hm. I think I'll do my name, Ryan. I write it confidently and give it to Dad. "Ryan these are scribbles, they aren't even letters." I cry like a baby. Dad tells me that this is normal and I'll get surgery to be perfectly fine, including a functioning brain. But it doesn't start until 7PM and it is only 1PM. So I'll have to survive like this.
